I have taken almost every English course at Camosun, and Elizabeth was by far the BEST one of all. She was ALWAYS available for extra help, completely understanding-and the drive behind the Author Reading Series. She clearly cared for her department, students and subject. She changed my life, and how I view the world and literature.

I love Canadian literature, however this class was horrible. Elizabeth is very rude to students and is incredibly disorganized. At the end of term I had a total of three pages of notes. I can safely say I learned nothing excnot to open my mouth during class. I am an A student but she is terrible!

She is a very hard marker. Gives 10% extra credit for bonehead work. That is a whole letter grade bump. Try to take someone else but if you have to visit writing center and her office hours with your work and do the xtra credit.

Wrote insulting comments on a student's paper.Bad-mouthed a student behind her back but in front of the class. Told the class that if one was sick, one should come anyway and vomit on the floor. Avoid the class, but come to the author readings :)
