She goes way too fast during lectures. And her tests are hard, get ready to know that textbook well. Also, you have to complete these strange online quizzes and learning curve questions. It's such a waste of time. Take the course with another professor.

nothing great to say. Hard class. The prof isn't the nicest and isn't really there to help everyone pass. more like set you up to fail.

Very uptight. She is a very strict professor and will not post lectures or allow you to see them in office hours unless you have a valid medical note. She goes through the lectures very quickly. Very monotone. If you like working really hard for a grade and then still not getting the grade you want, this is the class for you. Not approachable.

Ellen is a really good prof. Her lectures are boring, sure, but her tests are pretty straight forward and easy. Both tests class average was over 72% I used the out dated version of textbook (3rd edition) and got an A. Doesnt post lectures online, don't really have to go to lectures but Make sure you go to tutorials to catch up.

Very obvious that she knows what she is talking about, she generally does not present it in an interesting way. Very monotonous; hard to listen to in an 8:30 am class. Puts a lot of info on the slides but goes through them a little too fast, and doesn't post them. Gave us more tests than expected after the strike, causing unnecessary stress.

Lectures are very dry. She is not exciting at all. I ended with an A+ and rarely used the notes from class. I do not like her teaching style, she just reads off her power point, she is not engaging, very monotonous. With that being said if you study the text book really hard you can do well

Obviously knows what she's talking about and lectures are clear, but monotonous. Exams are mostly fair. Does not give breaks. Goes a little too fast during lecture considering how much material there is, but does not post the notes, so it's hard to get everything (even without copying the slides). Does not seem very approachable.

I found her to be very clear and actually quite helpful the midterms are fair if you study the book well and memorize the notes, relatively interesting class exam was a bit harder due to essay questions but the TA sabrina was very nice and was not a hard marker

A prof who has a lot of knowledge on the topic, I learned a lot. You should read the chapters at least 3 times to do well in this course. You must attend the lectures because they are not online and all short answer questions are taken from lectures.

I think Dr. Bialystok did a fair job with Developmental Psychology, but she seems unapproachable and stuck up. I dislike the way she delegates responsibility to her Teaching Assistants. Her exams are fair if you keep up with the readings.

Cold, detached prof; boring lectures. Her TA, Michelle, was snotty and condescending. But it looks like neither are teaching developmental psych this year, thank god.
