Comment:
Dr. Robinson's class was a little dry but very informative. Would highly recommend going to class and writing down any trivia he says because he puts a lot of it on the test. As long as you read the textbook and do the online homework, you should be fine.

I really enjoyed Dr. Robinsons class and his dry humor. There are 10/11 homework assignments throughout the semester, but they really help you prepare for the tests. This class is pretty much review if you took AP chem, but make sure you know molecular Fridays and trivia for the tests (there are 4 tests and he drops 1).

Dr. Robinson is a good teacher although he is rather difficult. Don't bother buying the textbook as it is not of much use. Study his class notes and do the mastering chemistry assignments and you'll do fine. Pay attention in class as many test questions are based on in-class trivia.

This class is hard, but all Gen Chem classes will be. He is a good professor, but a lot of the tests are trivia. Literally write down everything he says in class. Also, I read each chapter like twice before the tests; the textbook is your best friend. You can get an A in this class if you know the trivia, do the homework, and read the textbook.

Robinson is pretty rude and not very helpful in office hours. I found it much more useful to read the textbook and teach myself since he doesnt go into great detail in lectures. Go to class since every test has random trivia he says in class. Definitely not my favorite class or professor.

Professor Robinson is definitely the way to go for gen chem 1. Go to class and write down every single bit of trivia. He's intimidating in class but super nice if you go to his office hours. I did not take AP Chem and got an A relatively easily. I definitely enjoyed his class and would retake him if I could.

Dr. Robinson's quite the character, but overall he's a great professor and knows his stuff. His trivia questions are usually interesting and easy, but sometimes they can be tricky. Your textbook will become your most prized possession (and safety blanket) over the course of the semester. (AND everything happens for a raisin, don't forget!)

Dr. Robinson is a very wise, knowledgeable, and respected man, both as a professor and a chemist. His class is interesting (both for the chemistry and trivia), but it is hard. By the end of the semester, your textbook should be in tatters, your binder full, and your name all office hour sign-in sheets. If you get an A, it will be all because of you

The whole grade is tests and online HW. The HW isnt too bad. Tests werent bad either. Definitely take this over 1211. He posts his PowerPoints on elc, and he also likes to put trivia questions in the tests but they werent hard- it was just questions to make sure youve been attending class

Dr. Rob is the best! Chem is going to be hard no matter what, but he gives you everything you need to succeed in class. I studied 25/7 for this class and learned so much. I'm highkey in love with Dr. Robinson and would take his class again for sure.

Dr. Robinson is a great professor who definitely seems to care for the students. Tests are challenging but A's are definitely attainable after studying notes pretty heavily and reviewing the textbook as needed. HW is tough but isn't excessive and definitely helps to understand the concepts. The class is all lectures, but he makes them interesting!

Okay class I guess. He says attendance is mandatory but doesn't do anything to check it, so it's easy to skip. Tests were hard but pretty standard. Minimal studying will get some people by, but everyone's different. If you need to take chem, a lot of people agree that he's one of the easiest teachers for the class.

Freshman chemistry is going to be difficult if you're new to the material no matter what, but Dr. Robinson's class isn't so bad. Sure, I was frustrated at first that his tests always have a few questions of random trivia, but after the first test you should know that he does that and just make quizlets of the trivia he gives in lecture. Just study!

Dr. Robinson explained some topics very thoroughly and almost too much, but didn't spend much time on some topics that I felt were tested pretty heavily. Watch out for random trivia on tests. I read the textbook a lot for this class and it was a huge help, but I know that a lot of people didn't and still did fine.

Dr. Robinson is an interesting guy. Kinda intimidating. Class is 60% tests, (4 tests, lowest one is dropped), 10% homework (10 homework assignments online) and 30% cumulative multiple choice final. Tests are not typical chemistry test- likes to test on trivia and odd details he said in lecture or in side boxes in the textbook/slides.

I had Dr. Robinson this past semester for Honors Gen Chem 1. I would DEFINITELY recommend taking this over regular 1211. Go to class, write down everything he says, know it frontwards and backwards for the test, and you will be fine. Know people, percentages of elements in things, etc for the tests.. Work hard and you can have an A.

worst professor i have had in my entire life. i expected the honors course for gen chem 1 to be better than the regular class. This man is very rude, not a great communicator, terrible at explaining topics, and not accessible at all outside of class. Expects you to know what you're doing the second after he teaches and looks down on those who don't

I took his molecules that changed history fyos, and the only two things we were really held accountable for were 1 quiz and a presentation over a molecule. It's a pretty laid back environment, but make sure you REALLY are familiar with the molecule you're presenting, he can be a little harsh with his feedback if he doesn't think you're prepared.

I thought he was an incredibly terrible teacher. He reminds me of those teachers that are just so tenured and on top of the hierarchy that he doesn't need to know chemistry anymore and doesn't need to take his job too seriously these days.
