Professor Kamlet often likes to talk about news in class and leaves about 20 mins at most for lecture. Because of this, you rely on your discussion sessions and your own ability to self study to achieve a high grade in this class. Material isn't hard once you grasp it!

The most USELESS professor I've ever had, cross your fingers for a good TA and get ready to teach yourself the entire course.

Kamlet is the man! His lectures on tax are so beautiful, like Mozart's music. His lectures are like poetry, where it's just a wonderful experience witnessing his wit and his life lessons. He engages the class through group discussion, where he gives you points for just showing up. He's so funny and his exams are easy As. Take him. He's so cool!!!

This guy will straight up find a way to spend an entire lecture talking about everything except for financial accounting. Truly breathtaking effort.

He spends 20-30 mins each class rambling about politics before actually starting the lesson. Online hw access code was a waste of money for 5% of your grade. You need another reason not to go into tax? Take his class.

Almost all of his lectures are just him talking about the news and whatever he tweets. Some things from lectures that include guest speakers may be on the exam. The only way that you'll learn is by attending discussion and just reading and doing the homework yourself. Textbook access code is required so just buy that directly to save money

If you took accounting in high school, you'll do great in the class. If you have a good TA, you'll be fine. If not for either, you're in trouble. Kamlet's mission is to make you see the big picture of accounting. It's infuriating when you get the accounting questions right on a test, and then miss the random questions he puts on and get a B.

He won't teach you in class. All you get is an hour per week in discussion. The homework and textbook don't match the tests and that's what you have access to. He tells you to read the book but as someone who hasn't taken accounting before it'll only confuse you. Study group questions and material from TAs. Thankfully tests are graded generously.

Professor Kamlet is a really cool guy! He says what he repeats in class, the speakers he brings in and the articles are all fair game to be included in tests and he isn't joking. He gave everyone the opportunity to gain half a letter grade by completing a case competition. But you kind of do teach yourself with the textbook.

Does not go over any material in class. prepare to teach yourself with the textbook (not that hard) or learn from your TA's. weekly homework take about hour and a half. Makes the test night before and prepare for the most random multiple choice answer

If I had to describe kamlet in one word it would be pompous. He tries to get you to see the big picture of accounting and what you can do with your degree which is cool but he comes across as very unlikeable. tests are super easy. Discussions with your ta is where you'll learn the technical stuff. Hws are online

A complete fool. Expect at least one question on tests that have nothing to do with anything you've ever learned, even on the final. Doesn't care to actually teach.

Worst professor I've ever had. Spends entire lecture talking about personal opinions Doesn't care to teach the material at all during class, basically have to teach yourself. Reached out to him about a a grading error and he told me I was wasting my time, doesn't care about his students or his class. Hopefully have a good ta.

Enjoyable class and not too difficult. Tests are fair. If you work hard there is no reason you cannot get an A. TAs teach a lot of the more technical aspects of the course. Had relevant guest speakers fairly often that were very interesting. Overall, a good class.

Kamlet often spends half the lecture talking about unrelated things to accounting, but the course is pretty easy. 3 tests that reflect the material well. Go to discussion-that's where you will learn the most and how to do problems. Weekly homework that takes a while but it helps you learn. Group work is annoying but easy class overall.

I actually enjoyed the class. It was a decent amount of work with the online homeworks and group projects but overall I learned A LOT! Sometimes he can go on tangents in class so they're not 100% necessary but TA discussion is so important. Good luck!

If you do all your assignments and review/redo them before exam, in addition to going to TA or tutoring regularly, you are definitely going to be fine.

So annoying right of the bat. Unfortunately unavoidable. He made everything so much more difficult than it has to be.
