He's a funny guy and a good linguist. You'll learn more than you realize in the moment. He hates the idea of exams and if he could, he wouldn't give any at all. His teaching style is definitely not the norm and I think some people struggle with it, but if your flexible, it can be a good time.

He genuinely cares about his students success. I'd ignore some of these ratings, i found him very encouraging! He does give a fair amount of work (expect lots of quizes!) but it really helps for tests. He's very straightforward and makes class fun to go to. A few things, he rushed but he makes sure everything is clear!

Emmanuel is very passionate about the subject matter taught in his classes. I feel very privileged to have taken 400 level classes with him. If you ever need help with anything or are unsure on assignments he is more than willing to help. He will work you hard but its worth it. He really cares about the students

This prof is not very understanding if you are not fluent in French. He is very disorganised, and didn't do very well in pacing the class. We spent far too long on concepts that weren't very difficult or important, and rushed through everything else. The final exam made me cry.

Emmanuel was very kind and funny. He didn't have much of a problem if you handed in assignments late, you still got full marks anyway. Participation is key for his classes, remember to talk! Stay engaged and do the assignments and you'll get by just fine. Be patient with him though, sometimes he goes off on a tangent and talks for the whole class!

His class is so full of work that it causes semester burnout. I paid to learn not to listen to students drone on about the chapter we read. Prof is passionate and all, and seemed understanding when people fell ill. Good prof, just too much work.

He will work you to the bone...but you will be all the better for it! Fair marker and passionate about the subject matter. If you're having trouble, he always responds promptly to emails and does his best to accommodate students' needs(extending due dates, etc). He wants you to succeed and, as long as you put the effort into his class, you will.

Well as someone who is at university to learn French my experience with Prof Aito was very discouraging. Unless you are completely fluent, have a flawless memory, and have lots of time to spend on one class then just do yourself a favour and try to avoid him.

Emmanuel is a great prof. He is by far one of the top three I had while attending University. He went out of his way to help me and offered courses even though I was alone. He offered to go the extra mile to help me further my education and encouraged me to do so. He is tough, but fair. He is resonable if you put in the effort.

Emmanuel regarde ce site régulièrement et écrit certains commentaires lui-même pour augmenter sa moyenne... Les commentaires laissés précédemment ne sont pas une question raciale, mais plutôt une question d'habiletés en tant qu'enseignant.

Emmanuel Aito is bad and disorganized, eh? This is absolutely untrue and misleading. I took FR 306 with him, and I am glad and willing to take FR 810. Emmanuel is one of the best profs I have ever had, considering the way he handles his classes, motivates students. I hate people who slander profs by posting rubbish here for racial reasons.

I took 2 classes with him and I found that he teaches very well and he is very organised. He always motivates and encourages students and makes himself available always.

Easily the worst prof I've ever had. He is arrogant, refuses to answer questions, insults students at every opportunity, and generally treats students with no respect. Nobody should have to put up with this arrogant, insulting teaching style. I think underneath he is a good guy, but you wouldn't know it from taking a lower-level class from him.

Who wrote that Emmanuel is “a disorganized teacher…” Are u sure u described the right person? That statement is untrue, baseless and misleading. Emmanuel teaches 226, not 222. Amongst other enviable qualities, he is one of the most organized teachers I have ever met. He gives possitif feedbacks.
