Eric is a GREAT guy! He is extremely understanding, hardworking and engaging. Our class consisted of reading 6 lengthy novels and then writing essays on them. On several occasions, he was more then willing to extend the date that papers were due, or push back the writing schedule. He is funny and nice and works hard to make sure everyone achieves!

He's the best teacher I've ever had, and I know many others who have said the same. I took Shakespeare from him and it was the most difficult and demanding course I've had at Gustavus, but the payoff was immense. There are plenty professors who are incredibly smart, but it is very rare to find one who is actually good at teaching.
