He may not be the clearest professor, but he is a very nice one. He is fair and understanding. Exams were all note based; he stresses that the notes are best study guide. Overall, a very friendly and nice professor.

Enholm has a very frustrating speech impediment that creates a lot of confusion. He also makes a significant number of mistakes in his notes. I frequently went to his office hours to clarify things and make sure info in his notes were correct. I got an A by memorizing the notes and doing every study guide question, no TZ or study edge necessary.

He was okay, but I think he should let grad students help grade his exams.

By far the fairest Orgo professor there is. I took over the class Summer B. Make sure you do extra credit OWL, study his notes the most, and review his old exams and you should do just fine. Really nice and funny too!

The notes and the old exams are the most important study tools. The online homework is extra credit but do it because you'll need the points. Do all the book problems but take in-depth notes when he talks in class, as a lot of stuff he talks about is nowhere in the book but is on the exams.

Awesome teacher...i would recommend him to everyone...he's by far the most fair at making tests...and the curve helps a lot...you have a better chance at passing if you take him. Good luck :)

I had real issues following the lectures. He's just not that great of a professor IMO. Lauren at TutoringZone really helped out a lot though. She definitely made a difference in my grade (even though the curve for this class is already ridiculous).

This guy will be your hero if u arent pre-med and don't need orgo chem in your future yet are required to take it. He just makes you learn the main ideas instead of going into useless details and trick questions. Take Portmess if you want to become an organic chemist or pharmacist, take Enholm if you dont want to spend 4 hrs a day studying mechs

I took him in Summer B and let me tell you, that was an amazing idea. You have to obviously study like crazy...but it really pays off. If u don't like mechanisms, he is the professor for u. His exams are decent if u really study and his curves r good. I didn't go to class much so self-studied and used TZ materials I had..recommended.

DOES pull exams from lectures and gives generous curves. However, the curves are big because HE CAN'T TEACH! Rude and careless in office hours unless you're premed. AVOID!

Great professor. practice exams are exactly like his real exams. offers ex. credit owl pts. takes exam questions from his notes so know every little thing on them. class taken over summer B. grades of 73, 57, 84 = A- .

Enholm is a pretty cool guy with genuine concern for his students. His exams definitely come from his notes. He teaches NMR/IR better than any orgo prof and teaches everything with CLARITY so that pretty much all I had to do was go to class and then study the notes for an hour or two the day of each exam and I passed. OWL for extra credit helps.

Thought the class was easy enough. I took orgo 2 with two other classes and was able to get all A's (also took orgo1 over summerA). my advice: read the book, take your own notes, go to class and add to your notes. Before the exam make sure you do ALL the problems from the back of the book. Enholm is really nice and a fair teacher/grader.

Loved him! His tests basically come from the notes. Do the owl b/c even though its annoying it really helps out on the test. He's fair, makes the next test easier if the previous test had a low average. Huge curve. Grades of 48,54, 65, and 87= A-. He's also funny so go to class!

Best orgo prof by far. He is really good at making you understand the confusing topics. Tests aren't that bad if you just know the reactions no need for mechanisms. Practice exams are exactly like the actual exams. Averages were 38, 40, 60, and 75. Before this scares you 75 was A for the first 2 huge curve! Gave extra credit and tons of help!

The tests are completely from the lectures (he practically gives you the exam questions). The curve is very generous. I crammed the night before and woke up early the morning of to memorize the nomenclature and structures of compounds and I earned A's. He changes the difficulty of the exams based on how the class does.

I hope he's reading this, but this new owl online assignments are plain painful and useless. I can draw the stupid thing on paper w/o problem, but some of requirements from owl are just retarded. Tests are hard, curve is humongous.

Such hard tests, know naming for sure for the big compounds that you'd never think would be on a test. Bad teacher and thought I would end up with a D but got a B with a 46,65, and 56 test average somehow?
