Amazing professor but super harsh grader. You HAVE to study for the final. It basically determines whether or not you pass this whole semester.

He lectures off his slides so get ready to jot down things fast BUT he provides a lot of insight into the material. Gives a fair amount of homework with through provoking problems. He gives review sheets and the tests are straight from the review sheets so thats great aka your learning is done at home not during the test. I hope to have him again.

Goes over material way too quickly, doesnt inspire you to do better, doesnt grade homeworks. Final grade depends on 3 exams and a final, so no space for error. Doesnt really care about students. I've had better professors, but have to say he is pretty funny. If you care about learning and have lots of motivation, he's the right pick.

Harshhhh grader. Had an 85 test average and gave me a C+ while not responding to my emails about my final grade. Class lectures aren't good as he tends to do 2 chapters a day while you're still trying to remember what the previous chapter was on. Recommend learning on your own and doing hw.

Awesome professor. The material is difficult but he is very familiar with it. Three exams and a final... no dropping. He was available for office hours. He assigned hw problems for practice only, never collected. He's very approachable and cares about his students.

Solid choice. Although, I heard of professors teaching this class that gives away easy A's. In his class you actually learn a lot from lectures if you pay attention and love math. If you dont like slide lectures he's not for you. Sit in front to see his important scribbles on the board. Funny (or so he thinks) but great guy.

He is the one that actually teaching something in CCNY. His three midterms and final are long and identical to the previous one. But he will trick you sometimes. I failed the first two exams and the got B+/A- for the third exam and final, and he gave me C+

Too much depends on the final in this class. If you fail the final you will most likely fail. The 3 midterms are easy because they are IDENTICAL to his past exams and everyone copies or memorizes. Your final grade is too dependent on the final. This professor is risky! Nobody attends his lecture, difficult to pay attention. Grading is HARSH

You definitely have to work hard in this class. He's a very very very harsh grader. A single mistake can cost you the entire problem. You must do his homework to do well (even though it's optional). PRACTICE IS KEY.

His tests aren't hard per se, as much as he gives too many questions for an 1 15 min midterm. You have to know diff like the back of your hand to finish his tests and do well. He teaches well, from the slides, and answers questions with a good amount of detail. He understands diff very well.

Almost 50% off a two page Laplace problem because I made the arithmetic mistake of multiplying 6*4 incorrectly. He's an "okay" professor at best, does zoom through material. If you review slides before hand you're good. Structures his grading to deter students/"weed out" students. Never had a professor this bad at giving credit. Study old tests.

Had him in a big Lecture hall. Only taught from a power point. Graded only on exams. Found him confusing. I think he would be fine in a small class, but not an auditorium. Did not seem to really care about students too much. But he did respond to emails. Would rather not take him again.

Good professor. DO NOT CUT CLASS HE SKIPS A LOT OF MATERIAL AND YOU WILL WANT TO KNOW WHAT HE IS TESTING YOU ON. Gives too many shortcuts and not enough theory, but it seems that's all there is time for and the class is called "Methods of Diff Eq." Funny, clear, organized, better than most math professors. Responds to emails and holds office hours.

Homework was not very helpful in my opinion, but you really must pay close attention to his lecture because some of the questions you will have won't be explained on textbook or google. If you pay attention in class, there is no reason that you should get B+ and higher in the class. Study the definitions and proofs.

Clear lectures. Assigned homeworks are not mandatory, but highly recommended in doing them. Fair grader. Fair exams. If you do bad on one exam and does good on final, that exam will weigh less. Highly recommend.
