His teaching methods are extremely boring and he speaks unbearably monotone, you must read the assigned material before each class because quizzes are often pop-quizzes, he doesn't use blackboard/canvas which makes it hard to be self reliant and keep track of your own grades. You can do well if you do the work.

Such a tough grader on papers. Come prepared having read the material for class or you will fail the many pop quizes he gives. He knows what he is talking about and is a kind person but will not cut you any slack, really makes you work for a passing grade.

I don't hate him but he has got to get into the 21st century. He does not use blackboard or any tech. Your only grades are 4 papers and like 2 grammar quizzes. He is a very tough grader. He likes me so I have a decent grade. He gives you a handout but doesn't actually TEACH anything. He just talks at us and we all sit there exhausted and bored.

Dr. Idris is the worst professor at Frostburg State primarily because he is very unreasonable with quizzes and papers. Dr. Idris does not care about failing students and does so quite often. Please do not take his class if you intend to pass.

Farhad is a decent man. You do the work and listen to his guidance and you'll make a solid grade - probably a B, unless you're exceptional in English going into the class. He's a stickler for grammar, but that's fair since it's English. He's clear about what he expects from you and will help anytime you ask him a question. Pretty funny as well.

Great professor. After taking English 101 with him, I had an opening and took African And Asian lit. Loved the class and would definitely recommend anyone taking a class. He was more than ready to work with me to get the most out of my work.

I'm appalled at how some students treat this great guy--don't know what their problem is. He's smart, knowledgeable, and is specific about expectations for anyone who can read the syllabus and understand the English language. If you don't read the text, don't expect to pass the quiz. How complicated is that?

Idris is no fun at all. I aced both his classes, but I suspect that I only did so because he liked me. You MUST participate, or else he will not hold any respect for you. He is easily bothered; one of my classmates made a game out of simply staring at him to see how long it would take Idris to flinch away.

Dr. Idris is a very good professor. He gives u a little much to read sometimes but it isn't anything to bad. As long as u read u will pass this class. He is very helpful and his papers are graded pretty easy. I recommend this class.

Idris has an accent but he is easy to understand. You only have to write 4 papers in his class so its not bad. If you get help at the writing center or ask him to look over your paper before turning it in you will do fine. He is very helpful, you just need to ask. he even came in on a saturday to look over my paper before i turned it in on monday.

If I ever have to sit through another one of his classes I will go crazy!!! Thick Indian accent makes it very hard to understand. Kinda contradictory, someone who cant speak english teaches it, LOL. Take Richter
