Firas knows what he's doing and that's clear from lecture. In this course, we didn't receive mandatory homework but doing the homework was advantageous because all the quizzes and tests were based out of the book and homework. I think the grading scale can seem daunting but don't worry. If you try hard, and I mean really try, you will be rewarded.

I don't get where bad reviews are coming from. Firas knew all nooks and crannies of the course materials, and although he was a little redundant at times, he did a fantastico job of laying it out! This course covers lot of VERY new material and demands mutant-like double integral skills. I tried to keep up my side of the work and enjoyed the class.

Terrible teacher. Very unorganized and frantic. Does not portray the material understandably. Tried getting help from him in his office but he was not anymore understandable and seemed put out that I was so confused. Tests are nothing like the homework even though that is what he tells you to study. Good luck.

Tests were pretty hard. Not a bad guy. I would say he was an average lecturer. There was some sort of curve but a weird one. It didn't benefit me though. I'd say he's just average. He is willing to help outside of class, so that's a good thing, but yea just average.
