What you put in is what you will get out. Dr. Land is the most enthusiastic professor I had in undergrad and he will help you gain real research experience if you put in the work. He is the most helpful professor I had in terms of gaining real world experience with Bioengineering. Take his class, pay attention and get involved. Its worth it.

His class discussions are very boring. Brings along bits of paper that he keeps on the projector....very annoying coz u can hardly make out his handwriting. Please ask him to atleast put in the effort to make slide shows.

Prof Land talks like he is trying to sell you a car. He doesn't explain assignments very clearly. I got lucky I had some great team memebers and good TA's but if you get stuck without either of these, run from this class as fast as possible. I ended up with an A, but NO thanks to Land.

Most influential professor during my BU undergrad work. You get what you earn and you learn what you put in. Not easy, but the best professors never are. They challenge you. Did not fully appreciate what I learned until I graduated and entered the field.

I considered this class hard because it is impossible to do all the work he originally assigned for groups of 7 all by yourself. You learn nothing, you tear your hair out, and you will never program the problems he gives you unless you work for the army. Do not take one of his classes!!!

This guy has no clue. He is a master at bullsh*t, and can fool experts into thinking he's a genius, but he really has no idea about anything. His classes are designed by his grad assistants, and are actually quite good - if you ignore the professor.

If you cant code, drop the class. Assignments are hard, but you will learn useless methods for doing OO. Although land is mad smart, worked for IBM designed NASA software, he claims to have invented OO, and someties doesnt know what he is talking about.

don't take this class. he is the worst professor in the whole world. cannot answer questions properly, blames you for his being unclear. he writes his own textbook in scribble with examples in DOS. very rude. no teaching skills whatsoever
