The labs usually went the full 2 hours, but they were interesting and related to real life stuff. At first it was hard to stay on top of things, but as long as youre organized and even pay attention a little youll do great. Im horrible at biology and did not put in much effort but I still made a B in the class. She was also very humorous.

Lectures are very long. 1.5-2 hours every class Goes off on tangents Monotone Very boring class that is hard to sit through. Grading is harder than other lab classes I have taken

Comment:

She is an amazing professor who clearly loves her field. She was very humorous which helped make the class not so dull. Her quizzes were not hard as long as you paid attention during the lab and read the study guide. The labs were not difficult either and almost always ran shorter than the time slot we are given.

This class was one of the hardest courses I have taken. Labs are fairly easy but the quizzes were super hard to pass. No matter how much you study the professor would come up with impossible questions. I would not recommend taking her again.

Don't be fooled. She is super nice, seems fun, but her class is hard. The tests are open ended questions, and she acts like you are dumb if you ask for help during the lab. She gives all the instructions for 5 different procedures, in the first 5 min of class. Then you better understand how to do it. Would NOT take again.

Hardest course I've taken, and I'm an A+ student! She's crazy hard, and you have to basically guess what to study. Open-ended questions on a WEEKLY pop quiz! Beware: ?'s are way different than what's given for study material! She loved me, because I spoke with her often, and as a person, I like her a lot, but not as a prof.

Professor Courtney is so awesome! She is always excited about the work we do in lab, made the experience so nice for me, as I am not one who normally enjoys lab class. Definitely an easy going professor, highly recommended.

She doesn't really explain her notes well. What you study usually isn't the only thing on the test. She does give you her home number if you have any questions. If you don't like biology, she isn't the person to take.

She tells you exactly what is on the test. If you show up for class and take notes, you will pass. She is the most helpful teacher I have ever had at UHCL, BC, SWT, and San Jac. I made an A both semester in the summer. If you have questions she gives you her home number to call
