I was scared for the English 2010 course at first. In the syllabus she had 4 essays assigned, one was a 10 page essay. Although the essays were a bit stressful, i enjoyed her class and passed with an A. Not a very tough grader.

Easy class. All of the assignments were very easy for me. We were placed in groups for the semester and my group had a lot of fun together. English is her second language and it's noticeable sometimes. She's a fun gal and the class didn't stress me out in the slightest.

I took her 1010 class and passed pretty easy. She makes you right five total essays spaced over the semester and has easy online 5 question quizs that are not timed and directly out of the book. I recommend getting all the quizs done asap and just work on writing your essay's. No class participation points but she only allows you to skip 5 days.

I loved this teacher! She was so clear and helpful with every assignment she had us do. I hated english before this class and she made me love it! Extremely recommended!!

Syllabus is really long & detailed, but the class overall was not difficult. She does a lot of review of basic academic writing skills, which as a non-traditional student was very helpful. I suggest having her review every rough draft, consistently, the final grade is higher when she does.

Florence Bacabac is a great English Professor! I knew exactly what she was looking for on all of her assignments. I can tell she cares about the success of every one of her students. Her class isn't easy but if you attend her class and listen to her tips there is no reason you shouldn't pass.

Florence is an amazing teacher! She gives you very clear instructions. She lays everything out on the table that you need in order to succeed! She is very good at preparing you for your papers! She has probably been the most helpful teacher I've ever had! Highly recommend her!

Comment:

Bacabac was a great teacher! We do only the minimum writing (4 essays + final) and take plenty of time to go over small sections at a time, details and critique our work. Her expectations are simple and clear, and she will help you at any time! Also, when she grades essays, she always leaves compliments and a smiley :) She's great!

while she seemed like a good teacher, her policies can be frustrating. if you miss more than 6 classes, she will ask you to drop the class, or give a 5% reduction in total grade for each absence (so it's a fail). Also, she doesn't accept late work at all. If it's not done, you're SOL. That said, she works hard and generally does a good job.

She is funny and interesting and very knowledgeable. She is not an easy instructor, but the assignments were clear and there was never any question as to what she expected. There were 4 minor papers (2 to 4 pages) and one 10 - 12 page research paper at the end.

I really enjoyed Eng 1010 from Florence. She is very clear on what she expects. If you follow the assignment sheet she gives you for each essay (4-5) you will be fine. She is a good teacher and I would recommend her to anyone.

As far as college goes, she was the easiest teacher I have ever had. You dont have to take notes at all, she hands out lots of papers to help you with your assignments. The papers we wrote were really easy as long as you do the reading. Would highly recommend this teacher for people who struggle in English.

Comment:

Florence is a good teacher. She is very helpful and tries hard to keep students informed of when essays are due. She also goes over everything that is mandatory to have in each essay. A little hard to understand at times. Her personal dresscode is somewhat distracting and could be more professional. Other than that, I would recommend her.
