He is a terrible professor. Completely disorganized. He has not taught us anything this semester. He gives 100+ pages of reading a class and then shows an outdated movie. He forgot that our midterm is on Thursday. Should have been let go a long time ago.

He is not your average professor and his teaching style is different. But personal stories can often teach you much much more than regular classwork. if you do the readings AND listen to him you will learn a lot. He is a fair grader and he notices if you do not do the work, even if you do not think he does.He is always available for students.

i thought chiteji was very good. he was a little inconsistant and he let his lectures wander but they were always intresting. he also chose long books and not a lot of time to read them, but i mean, its college so deal with it. overall, i felt like he was really good, always available to talk to.

Really interesting to talk to; I personally love to hear his stories of life in Tanzania. As for the work, he often chose texts that were long and hard to get into, but he also chooses some really cool texts like African novels and a collection of memoirs of the genocide in Rwanda. If you try to do well, you can't really fail in his class.

Interesting, complex, and sure to make you think. Sometimes you may not agree with his viewpoint but he is always open to discussing the merits of his leanings. As for clarity, can sometimes be hard to understand due to his African origin/accent, but well worth the effort in knowledged gained.
