Professor Kaefer is the nicest guy ever. It is clear he really loves what he does and cares about his students. Class isnt too hard if you keep up with it and go to class. He offers some easy extra credit that can really help you. Take his class if you can!

Kaefer is super nice. I discovered I am not good at programming at all but he was always helpful during office hours and was really encouraging. Homework is sorta hard but not horrible. He did a new textbook on TopHat with video examples that was helpful - and if you answer book questions you get EC. Tests aren't bad either if you do the homework

I thought he was boring when I took him but realized years later that he's one of the better Instructors there. Nice Guy. Recommend you taking his Systems Analysis and Communications classes.

Likable, more than the dean, because he'll tell you stuff that actually applies to life or how it works, exactly how it works. Alright professor, didn't like my classmates.

This class consists of two exams, homework once a week, and a group project with 3 or 4 other students. As someone who knows I'm not skilled at programming, this class was still manageable because of professor Kaefer. He's always willing to answer any questions you have, and will help you fix your code to make sure it works. Would recommend.

Professor Kaefer is a very quirky professor. It's often hard to stay awake in his classes, but he allows you to use laptops and do other things while he is lecturing. He genuinely wants you to understand the material, so he's always happy to answer any questions that you have. The exams are half M.C., half short answer. Follow his advice to study.

Very nice guy but goes off on weird tangets about stats that do not always relate to what we are learning about. Very easy to zone out and lose your spot in the notes. four tests all just like the homework problems. Includes a mix of conceptual and problems. Lectures are beyond boring but he grades attendance. Not bad but not spectacular either

Class was hard to follow simply because he would get so excited that we would get off topic. The exams (2) come from the questions that you make in the homework section. Homework was challenging, but one extra credit homework is given. I would take him again.

He's a good professor to take because his tests are similar problems from the hw. So if you study from the hw and put some effort in you should be fine. 2 tests make up about 95% of your grade with 5% for hw. I found his lectures confusing, but he is very willing to help.

Easy. Clear. Helpful. Enthusiastic. Supportive. Gives PPT notes. Goes over HW with some excel problems. Tests are easy if you do HW, go over notes, and practice. Very helpful during office hours.

LOVE KAEFER! He is a bit excited in class and sometimes hard to follow. But he is fair, knowledgeable, and an all around good guy. Want to do really well. GO TO HIS OFFICE. He is more then happy to help you and he is better one-on-one. I highly recommend.

This class is hard! You have to work for it. Kaefer is very passionate about what he teaches. He is genuinely concerned with helping students understand the material. Sometimes he can stray off of the topic at hand and go on a long tangent and I suggest going to his office hours if you do not understand. He is better one on one.

Ok this class is hell, not because it is difficult but because it is so boring that you never want to study for it. Having said that, Kaefer is very passionate about the subject and really wants you to do well. He is a very intelligent man and cares about his students. Probably one of the top 5 professors I've had at Loyola and I'm a junior.

Very nice teacher. I didn't know people actually got excited about statistics. Knows what he's talking about, but can go off topic or over your head. If you ask him a question in class, you will need to assert yourself to keep him on topic - or he can take over an hour to explain one problem. Gives you formula sheets for tests.

Took it over the summer and he has a good heart, cares about his students. For test he said 1hr before the test but ended up giving an extra hr. VERY NICE!! He defn knows the material, and always wants students to ask questions! Take him he is funny and goes off topic but who cares!
