Very knowledgeable about the subject but assumes although we cannot play the pieces we understand how. He cancelled class a lot so we got limited feedback on how we were progressing. Many of us practiced the pieces wrong without knowing and therefore did poorly on our playing checks. There was no feedback on our playing checks or grades. Dont take!

Awesome professor! Took his seminar class first year. PLEASE laugh when he trys to be funny, I feel bad that no one does.. Be warned though he expects a crazy long final paper, but is laid back in grading and is genuinely excited to read your writing. Definitely take his class and lean all about his russian cat Sasha!

He's a really, really nice guy, but man is he not cut out to be a teacher. If you don't know a thing about piano, you're not going to want to take the class with him; sometimes he actually makes things more confusing than they need to be. If you know some piano basics, though, you can ace the class with minimal effort. Great guy, terrible teacher.

This was a really hard class for someone who knew nothing about the piano. I had to practice a ton and really work at it, but even though I was always nervous he understood that we were beginners and let us do extra credit if we wanted to. He cancelled class a lot.

Guzasky is a good guy, but no the best teacher. He covered material so fast. You go from doing simple exercises to doing intermediate pieces and for a beginner who can't even read music, it's extremely difficult. He's willing to help out one on one in class, but it's still difficult to catch up as a beginner.

Dr. Guzasky is an amazing teacher. I was unable to read music at all when I enter the class. Although it seemed a little intimidating at first, Dr. Guzasky is extremely helpful and with sit with you one on one. If he taught Piano 2 I'd be there. I recommend him highly!

Such a good guy. I couldn't play a lick before the class, I can play basic songs now. Quizzes are sort of hard but I don't think they count for much. Gotta practice on your own for the 4 or so playing checks. I think every other piano teacher is really hard and mean so freddy is probably the only guy you want. Nice class to fill an art requirement.
