Comment:

Blough is notoriously one of the toughest design professors in third year. He also assigns partners, so tough luck if you end up with a slacker (he won't reconsider). However, if you really work your ass off, you're learn a lot from the hundreds of models and drawings you need to have complete for each class.

Blough is one of the nicest teachers I've had at Pratt. Hes very kind, ad obviously cars about his students and their projects. He gets distracted easily, so it's important that you present him with finished work during desk crits.

Blough is a great teacher. I learned so much from his teaching. Hes very helpful and wants every student to do their best. He works with everyone equally and gets excited about everything. Hes extremely encouraging and reallu puts in the extra effort to help you. He has great references and is very intellegent. I would take him again.

Lawrence allows you to develop your own DESIGN. He is excited all the time, as long as you are, and really cares about students. He is willing to help you during desk-crits and reviews as well, though he seems to have difficulty in concentrating student's long presentation. So you have to keep it concise. He is a great professor.

Lawrence is a nice guy but his pretentious nature overwhelms any positive quality. Your GPA will hurt unless you make a discovery. Favoritism present. Regardless of how hard you work, if he hasn't chosen you within the first few pin-ups, you're screwed.

Steer Clear of this one. He answers his phone at inappropriate times, is disrespectful of students, chooses favorites, is incapable of paying attention to a presentation, and worst of all, buys the **** that students who do not work feed him. Blough sabotaged my semester and my GPA.

I do not recommend professor Blough. He is extremely unattentive, picks favorites early in the semester, and is usually unclear. However, I must say he is good with directing you with graphics (thats only if he decides to invest enough time with you).

He really inspired me to go beyond the norm here. My sketchbook became my bestfriend. He is a little biased and definitely plays favorites in the class which got a little annoying but if you can look past it, you can learn alot.

If you invest yourself in your work, Lawrence will get excited about it. If you dont work, he will lose interest in you. He is very inspiring, when he gets enthusiatic, you get enthusiatic. A key word for him is GRAFT. He is the collage man.
