This was the hardest class I have taken my entire college career. His study guides are nothing like what's on the exam, his written homework is terrible, and if you email a question he just refers you back to the lecture. I passed the class, but only because he does weighted grading. Otherwise, I would have failed. I would NOT recommend taking.

Mr. Heidebrink is an excellent professor (don't listen to the negative reviews). Econ is a difficult subject, but his class was highly structured (I took it online). The lectures/review materials covered every subject on exams/quizzes and none of the questions were unfair. Furthermore, an A in the class is anything over 82% (very reasonable).

Took this course online over the summer and failed every assignment an quiz. His exams are nothing like the reviews. Dropped this course half way through along with half of the other class. Do not take this class unless you enjoy ripping hair out of your head every time you get an assignment.

He seems like a nice guy, but he is an awful professor. I took his online ECO222, and it was literally the worst mistake of my life. I have a 3.9 GPA, I am a very good academic student, but no matter how much I have put into this class, I am failing. His reviews are NOTHING similar to the test. Would not recommend at all.

If you learn by word puzzles and stories, he's your prof... Unfortunately I do not and I could never learn anything from his lectures. Do not recommend.

You're going to want to take notes if you actually want to pass this class with a decent grade, in addition to having the concepts down as the exams are mainly multiple choice conceptual questions based on content learned. Definitely knows his stuff as a teacher and is a good teacher, but the questions he makes in the exams are unnecessarily hard.

I highly recommend. He's a phenomenal instructor and can elaborate topics in such way where it's funny, easy to understand and relatable in the real world. He truly does know the material and it's felt from day 1. Once again, highly recommend!

Gregg is funny and relates econ back to real life examples. He encourages you get help if you don't understand, but this is one of the hardest classes I've taken. The exams are not like the lectures, he tries to trick you on exams. Overall for an econ class he is a good teacher but prepare to study a ton! most people either pass or fail. READ BOOK

He does not give examples with numbers in lecture but expects you to use numbers on homework.. homework is due on Sundays except when he changes his mind. He is not on blackboard so it is more difficult to find out your grade. The only class I have ever failed. Would highly recommend picking a different instructor.

Taking this class I went into knowing it was going to be to hard but it was more than just hard. asking the professor questions inclass was hard because he mad me feel like every question I asked was common sense. he is very blunt although he does make the lecture interesting the after class help was really no help.

I have 2 Associate Degrees from WCC and needed ECO211 and 222 for transfer to a 4 year institution for my degree there. Took this as an online class. If you are a full time worker, DO NOT take this class. This class is not geared for someone who is working. His questions are ridiculous. his reviews go one way, but exams are a 180 from reviews.

This class made me almost regret coming to WCC. Mr. Heidebrink, was marginal at best as an instructor. He would give examples and not label the important parts that you would need for later reference, had homework that gave you one chance to get 100%, and tests that didn't follow his pre-tests. Please do not take his class if you love your G.P.A.

He knows what he's talking about, and makes classes interesting. Test are hard, but if you come to class, take notes, and ask questions you'll be fine.

I wouldn't recommend taking him at all. The text book didn't really seem to relate to what he talked about in class that much, lectures are long and boring. He even told us the first day of class that we would fail! He didn't seem very interested in his students and what he was teaching. take a different instructor

This guy is one of the hardest professors I've ever had. It all boils down to 3 exams and he grades hard on the essay question on the exam if you don't write him a novel. He will make you answer your own question if you go to his office hours which he thinks is helping you but not really. I would dread to take this class again.

Real tough class. The curve is set low, 84% gives you can A and you will need it! Test are tough and there's only three. Multiple quizzes that are basically right off the notes. Has a lot of cheesy 80's references and loves quoting movies. Overall a good professor, just a tough class. Be prepared to spend time studying outside of class.
