Test were a little tricky, but once you understand what he is trying to say its super easy. He is very helpful during office hours, so go. The homework is a little difficult at times, but do able. Overall, good professor and fun class.

Took him over summer session. Worst teacher ever. Was very useless at office hours. Can't teach at all. Doesn't care about the students. He assume that everyone understands him, but in the end no one really understands what he has to say. Stay away from him if you don't want to fail.

No textbook used, but topic recaps were posted online. Midterm was easy. Homeworks were difficult, so help is necessary. I found the homeworks interesting, mainly optimization problems using R. C programming will help a lot. Final project was straightforward. I definitely recommend this class.

Lectures are really boring and unclear. Lectures and practice exams don'help prep for midterms and final. I agree with others that this is a class you'll have to read the text and learn on your own.

does not explain concepts clearly. don't even bother with his lectures- just read the book. you'll learn more that way and be less confused. his exams consist of 3-5 questions, so if you miss one, you're screwed.

Seemed like a "by the book" professor to me. Sometimes he'll be a little tricky on the exams, but that's just to make sure you understand instead of just plug and chug. He's a laid back guy, so it reflects in his class.

I thought he was pretty good teacher. He explains the material pretty well. Obviously if you don't like stats, you're not going to like the class. But he's pretty helpful. Just do the homework, and you'll be ready for the exams.
