Prof. Burr is an extremely awesome teacher. My one regret is that I never went to office hours, yet still past with a pretty good grade. Just go to class and read his reader. Nothing confusing. I enjoyed the class. Overall fair.

Burr is a fair and nice guy, BUT I could not follow his lectures.Do the reading, even though the reader is friggin encyclopedia thick.Notes are in broad outline form so make sure you get everything he says.He was late to administer test Q's so you dont get much time to write your paper. Bad class; unmotivated to go to class.My worst grade at Davis.

Pro. Burr is a really good teacher. He knows what he's talking about and is very knowledgeable about the material. My best advice is READ assigned hw b/c there's a quiz almost every other week on the reading! But if you read and go to your TA's office hours to ask ?s, you'll do well. Try to switch to John's section. He's awesome.

Worst teacher I've had at UCD. Confusing lectures, inconsistency on grading of exams, and the worst part is that he's arrogant and rude. Completely unapproachable. I would NEVER take a class with him again.

He is not a good teacher at all. Although the class is easy, I do not think that I have learnt a lot. He often cancels his office hours and is not too helpful. The grading was okay. U should take the class with someone else.

I took him for a summer school class for two hours a day. Since it was a summer school class, it may make it more interesting than it would normally be, but in general I really enjoyed my time. Very caring and not hard if you do the work. love him!

He is understanding. He takes student suggestions into consideration. I have taken 2 classes with him and both times the exam format was decided upon the consensus of the class; whether the exam would be take-home/in class. His exams are exactly what he says they will be--no surprises. I would gladly take another class with him

Burr is a really FAIR teacher. His teach style is very straight forward; he assigns reading and lectures on what he wants you to understand from the reading. It is important to him that his ALL his students understand and are on the same page, he spends a lot of time making discussions clear.

I liked him overall as my soc professor, but i did find his lecture notes to be very disorganized. If u don't take good notes after u go back u won't understand wat the hell is he talkin about. And i don't feel like i learned enthing in this class, but as long as you READ and do ur work, ull do just fine. take him.

Attended class about 5-8 times and got a B. Take-home exams are based on his unorganized and almost useless lectures. Boring class...he goes over the timelimit often which is annoying. Just get notes from someone who went to class for a specific lectures to cite, going to class isn't needed.

He is all right. He doent grade the assignments, but the T.A's do. There is lots of reading andfor midterms 3 take home essay. Thats about it. His lecture are ok, but he talks fast so write fast.
