Professor Rose is really cool. The class can tend to be a bore considering he lectures a majority of the time, but he can really make things interesting and the conversations that come about can get intense but fun. Only about 3-4 tests and a paper, but make sure you listen to his lectures as some of the answers to the tests are from them.

Dr. Rose is what every student wants in a professor. He is a brilliant man and is eager to share his knowledge with his students. He is helpful and always there but you need to work. His senior seminar made me decide to become a poli sci professor. He is the best professor I've ever had and there should be more like him out there. I admire him!

Great guy but lectures the whole time in class. Even if you are listening you will not be able to write down all the information he is lecturing about which sucks because everything he says is on his tests, which are also hard. If you are a visual learner AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Reading the book will help but a lot of the test is based on what he says.

GRose is hands down my favorite professor at SHU. He is by no means easy and dont try to go off prior knowledge even if your good at polisci. Hes not the professor for you if you dont care about politics and the USA govt. This man LOVES our constitution makes everything easy to understand and interesting, G.Rose's class is what college should be

amazing professor, not an easy A but well worth the effort! Dr. Rose will go to the end of the earth to help you all you have to do is meet him half way, don't expect to go off past knowledge or not read you will fail, but if you listen and engage in class and do your reading he will be the best professor you ever had! Do not take this class. Even though the actual class is somewhat entertaining, the course is horrible. His tests are really hard, and come from both the textbook and classnotes, which is a pain because he never uses the textbook in class at all. Dont take him unless youre looking for a challenging class that will probably leave you with a D or a C.

Dr. Rose is the man and really does a great job of teaching you the material. As long as you read the weekly assignments and take good notes in class, you should do fine on his tests. I learned so much about American Politics in my PO 121 class and he did a great job of teaching it!

Dr. Rose was hands down one of the best professors at SHU. I have nothing but the utmost respect for Dr. Rose and his teaching style, as well as his ability to let students lead class discussion. I would reccomend any student to his class that likes to debate and share opinions!

My favorite prof at SHU. I dont read at all in his class, so its not that bad! If you pay attention and engage yourself, take comprehensive notes and study the night before, you should be getting at least 85's on all his tests, Ive had him for 6 classes now and Ive got between 86-95 on all his tests. You will learn so much and Dr Rose makes it fun!
