AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Legitimately the worst prof ever! So rude and condescending he acts like he know everything when he makes a mistake in EVERY class. Midterms cover 10 chapters and he literally tests you on 5 of the hardest written questions ever. Notes are complete GARBAGE just like his teaching skills. DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE TRUST ME!!!!

AVOID! One of the absolute worst instructors I've ever had. He did not teach anything everything I learned in this course was from my TA or the textbook. He is rude, patronizing, and constantly makes errors in lectures that students had to correct. His lectures had no schedule and jumped all over the textbook. He introduced new material on exams.

It was his first time teaching the course. He's a great presenter - animated & passionate about chemistry. He related the material to the real world. However, his exams were typically not representative of what he had covered in class, and frankly beyond the scope of an introductory chemistry course.

This man ruined my day three times a week. He is rude, arrogant, and worst of all, he isn't good at teaching. His lectures are pointless and unrelated to exams. The textbook taught me everything I know. So, unless you want to read the whole textbook cover to cover, I would suggest not taking a class with him.

350 characters is not enough to explain how awful this man was, 1 is too high a grade. I read these comments before enrolling and thought I could get by. I was wrong. This man was horrible, he's aggressive, condescending & not helpful in the least. I learned more from 1 online assignment than I did in 3 weeks of lectures. AVOID AT ALL COST!

You know something is wrong when the class average is below 50%. We had two midterms, both of them had 4 questions each. He told us to study a bunch of material, but we weren't tested on most of them.

passionate about chemistry. probably a great scientist. not a teacher. asks our chem foundations class philosophical questions on exams when we're learning how to name compounds? doesn't give questions related to the text. I got 7 questions wrong on lon capa, & read full text, and haven't passed an exam! lectures entertaining but a waste of time.

I love the way he lectures, and I feel that I've learned a lot from him but his midterms really come from left field. He knows a ton about what he teaches about, and clearly is passionate but I don't think that he knows how to explain the concepts to people who have never taken chemistry before.

Decides to put material that wasn't taught in the lectures on both midterms. Not a GPA booster, jumps around the textbook a lot. Seems to know the material but doesn't know how to teach it to a class. Averages on tests are below 50%. Homework questions are not explained in class beforehand.

Absolutely brutal going to his class. Extremely unorganized. Never goes to class prepared (besides for syllabus day) and so, lectures are all over the place. Often times, students have to correct him. There is really no use attending his classes. Homework assignments do not reflect exam questions. Failing this class atm.

Guys, 100% honestly don't take his course. Not hard, it was DISASTER. When u done all the assignment perfectly and you 80% understand his lecture, u think u get A. Keep Dreaming! u probably end up with F. He gives exam just like IELTS Reading test. It doesn't matter how good ur math and formula understanding is. CUZ u can't even know what he asked!

He is not clear about what he wants in lab. He didn't give our TA and heads up as to what we were doing in class that week so nothing was organised. Our class lucked out with a great TA otherwise we would have failed. George was often found scribbling notes for the lecture in the 10 min break in between classes and it showed

I think we became a failure "guinea pig" class. We are not given any lab manuals in the lab, and there is at least 1 instrument screw up when we are divided in to several groups. Yes. if you listen carefully in his class the final is easy; I have never seen any analytical chemistry midterm/final that has no calculations tho (this is the 1st time)

You must listen carefull in lecture, and read ahead of time so you can come prepared with questions because the material can get a little hard to think about so suddenly in class. The exams make you put together all you knowledge and finalize your understanding of the topic. Very good professor and class

Expects you to know pretty obscure things on exams. Doesn't really seem to care about teaching and has a rather condescending attitude towards students. I'd avoid him. The lab is really ghetto too.

I gave him good ratings until we got the final... It wasn't really anything that we did in the book at all from the first part of the course.. pretty much the final screwed everyone over. study his notes carefully and if you don't understand them, make sure get help from him (dont assume it wont be on a test)

He notes are terrible, he's always totally unprepared. He seems to concentrate too much on his "research" and slacks off in lectures. Most of the studying comes from the textbook, not his notes. His exams are totally unpredictable.
