Professor Sharghi is hilarious. He is extremely educated in his area of expertise. He requires a marketing plan which really helps you apply the concepts you learn in class. Beware, he does take points away (2%) for every class you skip but his classes are interesting and fun. He does grade a little tough but ask questions if your not sure!

One of the best teachers in COBA. Real funny and intelligent. Open book exams, 2 article analysis and one paper, attendence. Only downside you miss 5 classes you lose your entire attendance grade.

This professor is educated on the field of marketing and he has cheesy jokes about Walmart. Class was easy up until the final. 2 Open book midterm exams, 4 article analysis, 1 group project, 1 final and attendance. Make sure you attend class cause its 1% of your grade per absence. I didn't like how he gives no direction for final exam which is 30%.

Nice teacher and funny class. Mid term based on the online study quizzes (he tells you this). Final based on (ALL) power points and reading material, so I would say read the book. Big group project, smaller group project involving power point, and 10% for attendance. You should enjoy this class.

Dr. Sharghi is one of the best professors I've had at CSUSM. He is interesting to listen to, and more importantly expresses interest in the success of students. I found the midterm easy after practicing the quizzes, and the final was moderately difficult, but getting a good grade was very fair. I will miss this guy after I graduate.

He is good because even if you do not understand, you can look in the book and figure out the problems. Group projects suck in any class because you have ppl who don't do stuff, but you should expect it by now. Get a calculator. Read the chapters, do the homework, and you will be fine. Ask him exactly what he wants on grp paper after class. Notes.

The midterm is easy if you know all of the online problems. The Final is very random on the questions as it relates to the ENTIRE book and PP. I was scared I was gonna fail. The presentation is very easy as long as you apply the mktg mix correctly. The final paper can be a pain if you are stuck with slackers. Do the paper ASAP. Easy and cool class

He is a funny teacher which keeps the class entertaining. Two tests and a group project along with a group paper is the whole course. Make sure you choose your group wisely because the group assignment and presentation are a big portion of the grade. Study the practice quizzes for your mid term and you will get a good grade. Great teacher!

Great person, really funny, HOWEVER, understand that for both these classes, 1 point1% of your whole grade. It's impossible to get an A in MKTG, you can only miss 4 pts, doesn't believe in 100% on assignments either. Unless you're able to get an almost perfect score on each exam (2) and on the paper, you're stuck w an A- or lower, probably lower.

All test were from ?s in back of the book. Puts emphasis on real world examples & current global corporate giants. He makes funny jokes like how loves Big Macs. His accent & mustache shouldn't be intimidating, he has a heart of gold for students. Make sure you practice w ur group & dress nice on presentation days. had 4 classes w him, all rad

He is casual/goofy yet professional. He lays out what objectives & behaviors are expected in class & during presentations. Slack off/not follow guidelines he WILL call u out. Read, study & sit in front. Spends start of class talking about current events in world of business. Bring something to talk about each class. 3tests,4articles,1project

He is a great Marketing teacher and he is very funny which makes the class entertaining. You better like public speaking because there are 5 group presentations throughout the semester. It's hard to get full credit on anything!

2 midterms= open book=easy essay. Group Presentations= easy essay ?'s. Most likely will not give full credit. For the final go over his notes and make sure you know his definitions, MC will be on previous material and essay ?'s will be on new material. Study the terms that are on the CH reviews. It will help a lot. Do the same for mid terms.

2 group presentations, which is ok, but he marks u off 4 style & after you fix everything he will find something else to mark off(he obviously doesnt want to give perfect scores). Midterm = open book, but nothing prior to it helped anyone prepare. Final was bad 2. No direction given. I actually wanted to learn something useful. A = 96+ ->impossible

This is a difficult review to write because I honestly liked Dr. Sharghi a lot, I just didn't like his exam format. The class itself was entertaining and his lectures are interesting. Final is cumulative and there is absolutely no guidance given as to how or what to study. Very nice guy, can be funny too. Tough exams and mandatory attendance.

This professor gives NO guidance. No one ever knows what to expect on tests, and everyone would fail if they weren't open book. The cumulative final is NOT open book and he doesn't review or even give students tips on what to study. Overall, sets students up to fail. Funny, but I will never take him again. Also, dreadfully boring.
