DEFINITELY the WORST professor Ive had. He belittles the students and treats everyone like children. He does not stay on the topic. Called me out for texting in the class. I left his class not knowing a thing for CSS. Ended up failing his class. He is one of many rudest and ignorant professors at BCC in Fall River. Not recommended at all.

i took the self paced math class, no one tells you that an hour lab time aside is required. He spends most of his time giving students career advice and if you ask for help tries to make students feel dumb. I breezed through, but felt bad for some who truly needed help and would wait 40 min to be able to start tests.

Not the best. He lost his place too often. In the middle of doing an example on the board he forgets what he's doing quite a few times. Doesn't collect homework, grade relies solely on tests. Always keeps the class 5-15 minutes late.

Dr. Magnan is easily the rudest, most condescending professor I've ever had. He constantly demands respect and expects adult behavior, but never gives respect, and treats his students likes children. He has one way of explaining material and is incapable of altering his explanation to help a student that is brave enough to ask a question.

Prof Magnan comes off as a hard prof initially but once you learn his grading system you start to under his method of teaching. I didn't like him until I left his class and now looking back he was a great professor. If you do the HW he will supply you with everything else you need. I'm at UMA now and Magnan was much better than my current statsProf

I graduated from BCC in 2006, it's been almost 5 years and I am still so greatful for everything Prof. Magnan taugh me in his stats class. He was tough on us, but without a doubt one of the best professors I've ever had, including the MBA program that I'm enrolled in.

Dude this guy is so hard to follow. I came to class everyday, and everyday I left not knowing anything that he had just said. He is so confusing and puts a example on the right side of the board and then he will finish it on the left side of the board. DON'T TEXT IN HIS CLASS. He will stare at you and yell at you then ask to leave the room.

Rude, enjoys belittling students, does not go over homework/quizzes or exams. Does not review topics for test or final, his grading system is terrible, 2 questions on quizzes. I would not recommend nor take another course with this so called professor. His goal is to see students fail not succeed.

I don't think Magnan is a good teacher. My advice is once you understand something, don't continue listening or you would get confused on what you already know. He is an inteligent person but when it comes down to teaching, he dumbs it down so much that it gets boring. His grading system is absolutely terrible, good thing he drops 3 grades / 10

He's a genius. He's very loud and annoying. He'll spend an entire class going over an example that requires a new formula before he tells you the actual formula. He likes to put the inverses of the homework problems on quizzes and tests. If you're familiar with the material you'll probably be bored in class since he dumbs everything down.

Mr. Magnan is a great teacher. What a sharp mind! He is seriously funny (or funny in a serious way). You can tell he loves teaching or he wouldn't have stayed so long. He is an older man, but I must say, "I find him very attractive." (I checked the guidelines, it is okay to say that.) ...and no ring either... hmmm... : )
