Professor Muresan's hands were too big for normal keyboards so he made us all use really big keyboards. Each key was 4 inches by 4 inches so coding was slow and full of typos. Most of his lectures turned into him complaining how MJ casted Shawn Bradley instead of him for Space Jam. Also, he doesn't even know HTML.

It wasn't an easy class but if you read the book before you go to class, you'd understand his lectures, or at least know what to sk. When I had problems with the assignments, he helped and clarified things. I'm a woman and I didn't find him condescending toward women. I was planning to take the next JAVA class with him but too bad he left.

comes off as arrogant and condescending... made me hate programming... they shouldn't even bother having an advanced programming course in ITI until Muresan is gone because he is awful and no one wants to take a course with him... it's not the programming, he's a horrible teacher :( avoid him at all costs

Almost everyone here is blathering mongoloid. Programming classes are hard so if you can't take the heat stay out of kitchen. As far as I can tell Gheorghe knows his stuff and if you're willing to pay attention and use even 1% of your brain matter you will do fine.

Prof is unclear, unhelpful, and dismissive. There's almost no way to succeed unless you already know Java. Class lectures are confusing, but the material is difficult to learn on your own, partly because prof strays from book. Tutoring may be required, but prof. is suspicious of collaboration.

at the undergraduate level, this class is awful esp since most ppl are coming from failing CS or not having any programming knowledge. the class is stressful and overwhelming and also a requirement for the major. my advice to you is just get through it: buy extra books & get a tutor :(

I'm a library student, hated programming, & thought that it should be the job of a CS person to do all the 'dirty' work for me. But he made me understand the importance of knowing these techy stuff. I got a B- with sweat and blood. I will take him again & dedicate more hours to practice. He's cool.

if you talk to him out of class, you'll realize he's a nice guy. the class and the topic are very very hard. you can compare it to taking 3 ITI classes in one. i've taken other java classes so I know that its not just him or the class. it's more like a comp sci class. be ready to WORK! :(
