Very sweet & helpful lady! Yes, the class is difficult but it made me feel good about myself when I got an A at the end of the semester. There is a lot of work but it's easier to get a better grade if you do the discussion boards rather than the quizzes. Also, prepare for the final paper. It's the longest paper I've ever done but it was a fun topic

So much work its ridiculous. I took her online class and seriously you would have to do 10 hours of work a week to get a good grade. It wasn't even possible to do all the work she gave. She defiantly knows her stuff though.

Love her. Seriously. She's everything you'll ever want in a teacher. I took her online and got like a 110%. The material is really interesting and the in-depth discussions you will do will help you really understand movies. Yes, it is a time consuming class, but I enjoyed every minute of it. TAKE HER CLASS!

Awesome teacher! But this class is extremely time consuming. You really have to be interested in Film and writing in order to appreciate the great benefits offered in this course. If you try really hard, you will get a great grade. This is a professor that really cares about her students and takes time to show that.

Pros: She is down-to-earth, loves teaching film, and reminds you of that cool aunt you never see. Cons: Seriously guys, never in my college life (53 units @ a 3.1) have I worked so hard for a 'C' grade. My Peace project alone came out to be almost 9,000 words. Professor Floren is truly the best teacher I have ever had! She made me believe in myself again. The theme of peace was perfect for me and I made friends in this class. I feel ready for UC and so in love with life! Everyone should have a teacher like this!

This class, while learning a ton, is an absolute waste of time for people who aren't English majors. The assignments never end and the papers are as long as her grading is harsh. I've never gotten lower than a high B/low A in any class and ended up with a C in this one. Way too hard for a gen ed. 10 hours of homework per weekend sucked up my life.

I took online class.Oh my god, her instruction is tooooo long. Reading an instruction takes tooo much time, which is NOT GOOD. It is not an easy class, but if you show lots of effors like extra credits, you can get an A. I got an A. The only thing I can tell you is that you have to spend lots and lots of time to ace in this class.

Online class. She has detailed instructions that can be confusing and helpful at the same time. All the learning materials are on ETUDES. Try to stay on schedule. Do all the work 1st and have all your stuff out for tests. Quizzes can trick you. Writing assignments can be a pain. But in the end with a little effort, you can earn B or maybe even A.

Like they said, lots of work but I actually learned by the end. The only thing I didn't like about her were her politics discussions, very pushy with her views. No place for this in engl class. Also she kept having excuses because her cat was sick. I got sick of hearing about it. It's just a cat lady

"ProFlo" as she likes to be called (sounds like a UTI treatment to me) is more interested in sharing her liberal political beliefs than teaching a film class. This class was neither interesting nor informative. If you are looking for a vague, irrelevant, and obscure style of teaching, ProFlo is your dream come true. Otherwise, take someone else.
