Very jolly guy, and very helpful as well (great at explaining things). What I really appreciate about Gord is his patience - he is willing to help every single student with every single problem/question with labs, write-ups, etc.. The only thing is that he LOVES to take marks off for every tiny error made - he lacks mercy like a pure mathematician!

Gordon is an amazing lab instructor. He is extremely helpful and very fair. Anyone who talks negatively about him has a serious problem because he is the kindest person you will ever meet. Gordon is the best instructor I have had at university and probably my entire education...highly recommended!

Gordon was awesome. He's very approachable, helpful, sarcastic and funny. His marking is fair. Advice: come to lab prepared and do the prelab quesitions in the lab manual. Gordon would be my number one choice for chem lab prof!

To do well in his class, you've got to be prepared and act appropriately. He's a great guy, though: always willing to help out. He's quite a jolly fellow. Because of him I had "Yellow Submarine" stuck in my head for two months. Do your work and you'll love his class.

Best lab instructor ever. Very helpful, but expects his students to be prepared in class and invest time and energy in their own education. No time for lazy-asses or unsafe students, which I applaud. A great, nice guy.
