By far the worst professor I have ever known. Unfortunately he teaches most of the class under the law enforcement concentration. Most of his lectures consists rambling about absolutely worthless information. There's nothing from the textbook in his lectures. Unfortunately he grades on attendance so you have to show up. But he grades easy.

Unfortunately, Bourns teaches many classes in my concentration. They are fairly easy classes with some group projects and a written final. He always mispronounces things, gives the same info in all his classes, reads directly from his repetitive slides, and overall is unhelpful and confusing.

I took his class for Historical contemp. His exams were extremely hard. He hands out a study guide, but the study guide covers everything so just read the book. His lectures are hard to follow. At times, he can be funny.

Bourns means well. I will admit he is hard to follow. He tends to go off on wierd verbal tangents that only he seems to understand. And his lectures are not exactly technologically savvy as he uses the old school projectors. But he is not difficult as long as you show up. He grades easy.

WORST professor I have everrr had!! DO NOT TAKE BOURNS!!! His grading depends on his mood! He's sooo rude and mean!The book was a complete loss of money (each student req. to read 10 pgs!) You literally have to pray to do well in his class! His grading makes no sense whatsoever!! AVOID HIM, IF POSSIBLE!!!
