Amazing! We read shorts stories, had group in class discussions, and wrote about what we read. All the assignments were clear, well thought out, and if there was an issue she was super helpful. Her critic on your papers were helpful, and she allowed people to return a paper if it needed some touch ups for a better grade!

I didn't learn anything from this class. The lectures were extremely boring. It felt like it would have been just the same had I never gone to class just written the essays from home. More writing instruction itself is needed in the class. Instead of her just talking about her opinions of life. Those should be kept to herself.

Grace taught this class like her students were in high school and not college. I found WR90 to be more challenging and helpful. It was a good lesson on why to check this site before choosing a teacher. She is a very nice and well meaning teacher, but I didn't feel very challenged by her.

Just such boring dry lectures. She's out of touch, she speaks like she knows things about other cultures she has no idea about. Worst of all she insists her interpritations of things are the only way to look at things. She's made my writing cautious and conservative even for research papers. Hopefully I'll be able to shake it off next term. BAD!!!!

I really enjoyed McLaughlin's class. Her her expectations are high, which is just what i expect from a good teacher. why go to a class if you are not prepared to be pushed to your limits, being challenged to create something better. oh yeah, she lets you re-write essays too!

I felt more like she was constantly lecturing about writing then actually helping us with our writing mistakes. I felt she would grade me harshly, and when I'd ask for help, she wouldn't go over the reason why she gave me the grade that she did.

I wish this instructor had spent more time actually instructing the class. She had students "teach" the material from the LB Brief, and some of the students did not have accurate info which caused confusion.
