One of the best professors at Berg. He's so passionate about the material and is so knowledgeable that you can't help but be excited for his class. His feedback is thorough and extremely helpful. I wouldn't be half the writer I am now without him and I'm truly grateful to have had a course with him

Dr. Scott is a professor who honestly cares about the success of his students. He is always willing to schedule office hours to meet and talk, and he notices and values effort put into his class, even if you don't write the most brilliant papers. He's also super smart, funny, and really knows the subject matter he is teaching on.

Dr. Scott is truly one of the best professors I encountered at Muhlenberg. He is not only an expert in his fields (lit & visual arts, the Decadent period, and Romanticism), but is excited and enthusiastic about his profession. He is always available for extra help with writing, and both encourages and care about his students' progress.

Grant Scott was amazing! I can't wait to take more Lit classes with him! He emphasizes the important things you need to know for the midterm and final. We only had 2 exams (midterm & final) and only 1 paper, however there were a lot of small assignments. Take a class with him!

Worse professor I have ever had at Muhlenberg. Whenever I asked to meet with him he could never meet with me. He is a ridiculous grader on papers. DO NOT take him he's the worst.

As a science major, I was concerned about taking my English GAR in a special topics class, but it turned out to be my favorite class this semester. Dr. Scott was so kind, funny, & helpful. He engaged everyone in class discussions & was always available to discuss assignments. I learned a ton, enjoyed myself, & always felt comfortable in class.

Prof. Scott is sincerely one of the most amazing professors you will ever meet, do everything you can to take a class with him. His class, English Romanticism, is especially wonderful. It reminds me why I wanted to be an English major in the first place. The writing assignments will make you think, and your writing will definitely improve.

Take this class!! Reading Frankenstein was, without a doubt, the best class I ever took at Berg. The class covers everything from the story to Whale's film, to Isl. of Dr Moreau to the tour de force Bladerunner. Dr Scott was awesome! If you take only one lit. class in your berg career, this is the one to take. It doesn't matter what your major is.

Dr. Scott is a truly brilliant professor. He exudes passion for literature which I found to be so engaging in every one of his classes. Take Romanticism. It will challenge you as a writer, but the course material is so rich and Dr. Scott will infect you with his love for it. He remains one of my favorites! You wont regret taking his classes.

My senior seminar on poet and visionary William Blake was one of my favorite experiences at Muhlenberg. Dr. Scott utilized all of this students' strengths as writers, artists, dancers and musicians guiding us to create and curate an inspirational gallery that the entire campus was able to appreciate. He is challenging, but extremely motivating.

I've had several classes with Scott; he was my advisor, too. He's so great; everyone should take a class with him! His lectures are helpful and interesting and class discussions create a great atmosphere. Yes you'll have to read an do work, but it is so rewarding. He's great about office hours and very fair. I've loved all my classes with him

A relatively hard grader, but what he says is justified and he will give you the grade that you deserve. He knows what he is talking about and he will make you a better writer. He is a wonderful teacher and you will appreciate having him, even if he makes you work a little harder for it :)

Extremely nice, great sense of humor. Extremely hard grader- rarely gives check plusses on assignments and checks are merely okay marks, for him. (probably equal to a C) Class itself is very interesting. Do the reading really carefully because the quizzes are very intricate. Probably will be my lowest grade in my major but still a good class.

I had Grant Scott for IES, Victorian Lit, and Romanticism. He has high expectations of his students and is fair in his grading. If you want to see him sparkle and shine take his Romanticism class.
