This Guy! He is great outside the classroom and really is a nice person but inside the classroom he was a different person and was rude and lectured heavy and was difficult to comprehend or follow! Hard test!

Obviously a little biased as a biology major but for an intro course he really nailed it. I could have had zero knowledge on the subject and still did quite well on my own.

He is incredibly knowledgeable and intelligent. Mr. Davis can teach the subject in a away that is fascinating and relevant to real life experiences. Would take again!!!!

You know who doesn't like Davis for a professor? Those who don't study. If you study your notes you can pass the tests without even reading the book. It is true he does seem to like tricky questions on exams, so take your time, and if you have questions ASK, he will answer but he isn't going to hold your hand to see if you understand.

Professor Davis seems like a good person but I did not find him to be a good professor. He is intimidating in class; if you ask a question, it seems to upset him. He definitely understands the material but his lectures are all over the place and hard to follow. He is not very approachable in person. I would not recommend him for Intro to Bio.

I took his Bio110 class this semester online. There are weekly assignments and tests but if you read the material you will pass. He responds right away to emails and is very helpful absolutely loved this class.

Constantly talks down to his students. If no one in the class can answer his question, maybe he needs to re-evaluate his teaching. His lectures are all over the place, so be ready for disorganized notes. Don't get too excited when he says he's giving you take home exams because you'll need a good 4 hours to google everything he didn't teach.

Overall, I would take a class from Prof. Davis again. My only complaint is that loves "trick questions;" the way he asks a question on a test isn't always absolutely clear and I found my self with two possible correct answers, even though I had the book and notes in front on me. I guess he's attempting to see in you grasp the concept.

Very smart in his field and knows his stuff. Test are not easy and his class lectures are all over. He jumps from one thing to an other. Be ready to study and read the book on your own, with the notes you take in class. Has take home tests which are not easy and require time if you don't learn on your own easily.

AWESOME in his field. If you don't take great notes (not just the ones written on the board) and cannot translate a learning (he doesn't test easily) you will struggle. However I learned SO much in his class and feel prepped for my next set of classes. He's engaging as long as you are too. Dry humor. Strict policies. Take home and in class exams.

I had Davis for Bio 110 and thought he was a good teacher. You do need to take notes in class and read the corresponding chapters in the book but if you do that you will be fine. All of his tests were take home tests in which we could use our notes and book so that's a big plus. As long as you pay attention and take notes you should easily pass.

He was a very nice man, but he missed several classes. Tests were ridiculously difficult. I would have rather had tests in the classroom than taking a super difficult "test" that took 4 to 5 hours to complete at home. He was "ok" but I would not take him for anything again.

He's a nice guy and seems interested in his field of study. He's usually late, and missed multiple days of class but expects you to always be there. His lectures are all over the place and never stays on a particular point clearly enough before he jumps to an entire different topic. His tests are always on info he never went over. Super difficult.
