I took two classes with Greg related to art and culture. I consider him a great teacher because he awakened in me an strong interest in art and writing about art. And he's a good guy, too. I highly recommend taking his courses.

Had him at AGO's Youth Studio Classes. I think he's really helpful and has wonderful ideas. He showed us a lot of interesting artists and gives really great feedback, both on the negative and the positive. Though I did think he was all over the place. It would be better if his classes were more organized.

Nice guy, but needs a lot of working being organized. Understandable while doing a Ph.D. The class was useless, I could of sat at home got the slides from someone and gotten an A. Writing down what he said was useless because he never tested you on it. Very unclear on the essay, but extremely easy marker. Pure memorization class

I was in 3 or 4 image history and theory night classes that Greg taught from 2003-04. I found that he had a way of really getting through to his students with his teaching style and manner (Joy Division references, etc). Part of it might be because of his age, which is relatively younger, I'd say. I don't tend to miss people, but I do of him.

I had two of his theory classes and loved both of them. His teaching style can be sporadic, but he really engages with the class content. He leaves your involvement in the subject matter up to you and is open to alternative assignment formatting. Totally loved. Also, it's spelled Seale, not Searle.
