Mixed opinions. She loves teaching and is very knowledgeable but can be harsh and rude to students at times. She's ok, not my favourite, but not bad either. Her accent isn't that bad and she can be understood.

She is unprofessional. Ie: we showed up to a test, and not enough desks were setup. Instead of asking students to help, she snapped at us. She didn't even know how many people were enrolled in the class. She makes rude remarks if you ask a question. Her lectures are of poor quality and don't add value to the course materials. Stay home

Professor Arias is a wonderful instructor. she is passionate and knowledgeable about her subject. I am glad to see Mohawk bring in teachers from different countries and backgrounds. it really broadens the learning experience. A+ for Professor Arias!

Karina is a great professor who has high expectations of her students (which at a college level is understandable). She really does care about her students although she has the "tough love" approach. She could have made class more interesting with jokes/more class involvement but I did enjoy her as a professor.

Very knowledgeable and unlike most joke instructors in the GAS program, she's quite serious. That doesn't mean her course is hard though. I did not find her accent her to understand. In fact, I enjoyed her class quite a lot!

VERY smart, but impossible to understand. It is hard to focus when you take the majority of the period decoding her THICK accent. If she spoke more slowly and clearer it may be easier to succeed in this class.

karina is intelligent and articulate, she demands more of her students than most teachers. which of course is what we want in the long run...one thing you cannot do is slack off in her class because you will fail!!

karina definitely does not cater to her students, she expects them to be able to look after themselves, but if you do have an issue, she will help you in any way she can. i find her teaching method intriguing, she LOVES to talk, and loves to hear other people's opinions. she has been nothing but upfront and fair with her marking and expectations.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, stop making your students show up to class to read a bunch of handouts. I'm not going to learn by hearing joe blow stumble on words he can't read just because you don't feel like reading it. This isn't grade school anymore. If I knew class would be this way, I could've stayed home to read the handouts!

Karina is the one of the best profs I have ever had. She is one of the few that knows how to mark at a post secondary level. added bonus is that she is qualified to teach - a rare thing at Mohawk
