Fantastic class that should be required of all students in the department. He is a stickler for the due date and time without exception. If late you get a zero, regardless of the reason, but gives you lots of time to do it, so no problem! Not much time needed, you learn a lot of worthwhile information and easy A! Can't ask for more!

I emailed him so many times about questions that I had.. He emailed me back a copy of the syllabus one time and a copy of the instructions to an assignment I had a question about the next time. He's not very helpful and didn't seem to care about me at all. I dropped the class.

Dr. Utt is awesome. You must go to class and write down everything that he says! But if you do that, and study your notes well, you will pass! I love Dr. Utt, he is very knowledgeable in this area and he is humorous so it keeps the class interesting. Also, he always tries to let you out as early as possible. :)

For anatomy, you get 4 tests and that's it. It would help if the class were more like a lab, but it wasn't. All tests are fill in the blank, so be prepared for that. He's very knowledgeable of his field, which is great, and pretty funny, but I'd say away if you want a good grade in this class. I wish I had known :/

Great teacher and just a funny guy in general. Knows his subject very well. His tests are fill in the blank but very straight forward -tells you a definition and you fill in the term. Cake. Got an A, and will take him again if I can! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is the BEST teacher in the program. You can get an A if you study and know the material. He will answer any and all questions if you are struggling with the material. He is an extremely knowledgeable and interesting man. It is important to know your stuff prior to entering this field so you must study hard. Slacking won't cut it:(

He knows his stuff like the back of his hand. He gives lectures straight forward, uses skeletons, and pictures to help make material clear, he really knows how to be an interactive teacher. Although the class is hard and he gives only 4 exams, he is helpful and really cares. He wants us to really know the material so we can be knowledgeable SLPs.

Dr. Utt is a professor who enjoys teaching and helping students and everyone knows it. He has creative activities for assignments that make learning fun...I have not had a professor at UCF come up with fun assignments before! Dr. Utt is awesome and would take any class with him over any other professor any day.

His counseling families with COMDIS course is awesome; its an elective but a must if you going to counsel and treat clients. You learn more about yourself and your own family dynamics than anything. Well worth the money and time. Great energy from him and a relaxed, fun class.

I had Dr. Utt for many classes. He is very helpful, you can talk tohim easily and go to his office any time for help and explanation. His tests can be challenging but not if you study hard- he wants you to know your stuff and he will help you in any way he can. Greatest Professor I've ever had

If you want a good grade in Speech perception, DON'T take his class. I read the book twice and still did poorly. All his tests are COMPLETELY fill in the blank, and he only gives two during the summer session. Anatomy on the other hand is a bit easier.
