I became a much better writer due to her. Her feedback is specific and helpful. Her goal is to make sure you understand the material and leave the class a better student than when you began. If you truly want to improve, take her classes. If you are taking the class because you have to and hope to coast, good luck.

She was indeed strict, and demanding--all to the good. She was also insulting, condescending, appallingly rude and seemed to think that there was nothing she could possibly learn from her students. Intimidation was the main component in her teaching, and as a result, her classes were depressing, shut-down affairs. A true academic gasbag.

she was very tough- but great if you love a challenge. once you get to know her, you come to understand that she really does not mean to come across as mean. once she retired, i recieved an email and a card from her. so long as you treat her with respect,

Great teacher. Old school. This teacher will make you learn. She will tear your papers to shreds just to let you know that you need that much more improvement and more. No skating here. Watch out for weekly quizzes, they are 25 percent of your grade.

Blodgett's fair but tough. She's really old school, but she knows her stuff. She was a real inspiration to me. She intimidates students because she keeps it real. If she makes you cry you deserved it. All her criticisms were valid and true. Truth hurts.

Nice woman, but strict as they come. Has a slight tendancy to assume that the student is ignorant of a subject until proven otherwise; therefore tends to take answers which are technically true as false due to lack of well-worded explanation.
