Comment:

Heather's class was one of the easier ones I've taken. Content is simple & I never bought the textbook, as tests were online & I was able to access the same information through looking up definitions & so forth. To add to that, she's so funny & makes all of her classes enjoyable while teaching you what you need to know.

Love her, she's super kind and so easy-going about everything! Cancelled classes twice and is super understanding if there's great weather out and you decide to skip. Has enough of a standard though on her 3 projects to feel like you're learning things.

She is a wonderful teacher. She genuinely cares for her students and sets t hem up to succeed. She is approachable and the classes are always fun. Not to mention the tests are online and you can use notes ;)

Extremely easy class to get a good grade in. She's a decent professor, cancelled class a few times and let us leave early a lot. I'm a terrible speaker but got pretty decent grades and improved quite a bit. Would definitely recommend. You only need the textbook for 2 tests throughout the year.

The class isn't very hard, which is always a plus. She's a fantastic professor and very nice person, definitely entertaining to listen to. She's also very forgiving about extensions and extra help. You only need the textbook for the tests.

Comment:

Mrs. Brecht is a great professor. Very nice, funny, and makes class interesting. Can be a harsh grader at times when it comes to presentations, but its hard to get below an 80 on any presentation. I would really recommend this class. She cancels class or lets you leave early about a quarter of the time too. Not too hard to get at least an A-.

If you have to take a comm studies class, take public communication with Heather Brecht! I chose it after reading some wonderful reviews about her, and they are all accurate. She is so sweet and helpful, and has a great sense of humor. I'm so glad I decided to take this class with her, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Awesome teacher! Nice, really funny. She can grade semi-hard on speeches but nothing that would ruin a grade. You'll learn a lot and she's entertaining! Try to take her class!

I love her! She is an awesome teacher and a great person. This class helped me get over my fear of public speaking. Tests are easy, speeches are easy. Her grading isn't tough, she's always understanding, clear, funny, and helpful. I recommend this class!
