This professor is the worst I have ever worked with. Her assignments and grading remarks are vague. The class was professional writing and my recommendation is for the professor to take the class as clearly she is not capable of giving clear direction or guidance. Be careful of discussions she likes to put students down publicly.

Professor Lamare makes you do a lot of work. She has all of these written assignment due every week for example: homework, threaded discussions on-line, a CCC project, and a group presentation. This class is so time consuming. I had to take it as part of a Nursing requirement. If you do all of the work that she's asking you to do,you should do fine

Very helpful and always polite. One of the best professors I've ever had. If you take the class seriously and try to learn you will do great. Highly recommend her because she wants you to walk out with skills to help you in the real world.

Avoid. This teachers is rude and smug. She will talk down to you and treat you as if you are worthless. She told us to buy the text book because we would need it. We only used it once for the entire course. I have never been so frustrated and angry after taking a course.

Would avoid if possible. Strict grader. Does not accept late assignments at all, 0-points. Talks down to students, makes you feel stupid if you ask a question. Often has rude remarks. Class project was ok, but BCP (Behavior Change Project) for speech 277 is stupid. You'll only learn something if you read the book.

It was a CARD class so it wasn't going to be that hard. Professor Lamarre gave good tips on how to prepare for job interviews and to prepare your resume. She knew her stuff. The class had a bunch of small assignments but nothing that was too bad. As long as you turn in all the work there is no reason you shouldn't get an A.

She treats her students as if they were in 3rd grade, this guy in the class went to the bathroom during her lecture so she locked the door so he couldn't come back in!!! She will tell you to do one thing for an asgnmnt but after you turn in the paper, she will say that that isn't what she meant., DONT TAKE HER!!! she is rude and disrespectful!!!

I thought Professor Lamarre was a very good teacher. I'm not sure what some of experience of other posters but there were a couple times she went out of her way to help me. She grades pretty easy, and aside from the one major project we had in the class it wasn't a huge load. As long as you show up for class and do the work you'll cruise an A.

I had Professor Lamarre a number of years ago. She was one of the best teachers I had. It is probably somewhat difficult being an English instructor at a mostly technical school, but if you are willing to learn, she is one of the best. She was always helpfull and would routinely go out of her way to teach you something beyond what was required.

Do not recomend this instructor. She is not willing to work with you on deadlines if you have something come up. Will change deadlines on you and expect you to have esp. Dry speaking style and not very interesting. You do need the book, after all she wrote it!

Master of the english language and all its nuances. Follows the "tough but fair" grading scale. Very organized, clear, and responds well to questions (even criticism).
