Mr. Lam is a great Math teacher. Yes, he gets his numbers mixed up a little bit sometimes, and yes he stumbles with his words..but this man loves loves loves math and makes the material as simple as possible. I had Prof Lam back to back for math 101 and 102 for the entire summer. He explains everything in great detial and is very helpful.

Very nice teacher, jokes a lot. He is a little hard to understand at times and the material is not interesting at all so if you can avoid the class, do so. However, if you must take it, he is okay.

Professor Lam is easily one of the better professors I have had. Takes the time to ensure that ALL questions are answered and encourages classroom participation and welcomes any corrections. This is my second semester with him and would honestly sign up for a third if it was an option.

I got an A on everything n missed the final cuz I went in the hospital and he gave me an F, after we had an agreement that he was going to give me an incomplete. He teaches straight from the book and you can not understand a word he says!!! He stutters a lot and you really have to listen to keep up. He mixes up his numbers all the time. He writes one thing and says another. He grades okay..gives partial credit IF you try.Not a fan..I wouldn't take him again if given the choice.

I always disliked math classes but Prof Lam changed that. He is very clear when explaining the work.He also teaches a smaller amount of work each class which makes it easier to learn (ie 1 section vs 3-4 sections at a time)Tests are based on HW and he drops the lowest test score. If you come to class and pay attention you will definitely get an A.

Professor Lam is the fairest professor out there. He is very patient and very eager to help his students. For anyone who struggles with Math this is the class for you.
