He is one of the best Chem. Teachers I've had. And probably the easiest at morehead state. He is funny and knows what he's talking about. Though he does jump around he is easily reachable outside of class. When I caught the flu before an exam he let me take it two weeks later.

He's so freakin confusing, he jumps around all over the place, and not just in the material.. i mean he physically jumps around the classroom. Also, I'm pretty sure he hates all of his students. I've never heard him say a single encouraging thing to any of us. It literally causes him pain to be nice.

Had him for Organic 1. Dr. Hedgecock is definitely a one-of-a-kind and a lot of people don't like him for it. This class takes a lot of work outside of what he teaches. He provides you with multiple practice exams for each test, which is very helpful. He also gives practice problems. If you do all of the extra work, the class is def. do-able.

Did not like this professor. Is on my list of being one of the WORST teachers I have ever had. Tests are very hard since he does not teach the material well and you don't know what to expect. I ended up doing well in the class most likely from a huge curve. If you ask him for help out of class I think he is more likely to give you a better grade...

I do not recommend anyone to take him. He doesnt use the book. His quizzes arent over what his lectures teach. Hes funny, but thats about it. NOT a good professor to take!!!

I had Dr. Hedgecock for Chem 111 (my first chem class) and at the beginning of the semester, I was doing TERRIBLE. I found the class very difficult. THIS WAS MY FAULT. Dr Hedgecock was MORE than welcome to extra help and never turned me away from his office. I ended up getting a B in the class, and plan on taking him for ANY other chem class I have

Dr. H is a great professor. He gives lots of examples in class and asks questions to the class (rather than just lecturing) to make sure that everyone understands. He is very willing to help and will answer any questions you may have. Like any chemisty class, though, it is also very important to keep up with the textbook reading!

Hedgecock is awesome! He's funny and extremely entertaining. As long as you try and care a little bit, you will do okay. He assigns homework, but doesnt require it, but if you want to pass, you should do it anyway. He will help you if you ask. The people in my class who don't like him seem to be the dumb, frat boy types.

Everything you've heard about Dr. Hedgecock is true. Horrible professor. He makes Organic Chemistry as hard as he possibly can. The highest grade was a B while everyone else got C's or D's. Take someone else. I wasted a whole semester of Chemistry with this guy.

This is my third semester with Hedgecock. Chemistry isn't my thing, but I like his class well enough. He is willing to help, you just have to ask. Don't miss class and go with a tough skin and a sense of humor and you'll be fine.

A so-so teacher. He is a little on the weird side and curses every 5-10 words. If you ask for help, he will make you look like an idiot but he seems to think he's hilarious. He always let us out early and seemed to not want to be there most of the time. So if you like getting out early but being told how pathetic you are, then he's your guy.

Not the greatest prof. ever. He does a decent job of explaining material some of the time. Asking questions or answering something wrong in class is a mistake because he will make you feel stupid. Even going to his office and seeking help can be a challenge because of his all-knowing personality. Be prepared for test ?'s you didn't expect.

I don't have a problem with Hedge. He's a great professor once you get in the organics...granted...I've never had anyone else...but I've done fine in all his classes. If you desperately need help, he's more than happy for you to come to his office for some one-on-one help...and he has candy.

i hate chemistry, so this class still sucks, but hedgecock seems to make things a little clearer, for me anyway, so it makes the class bearable. from what i hear our class has one of the highest averages, so he must be doing a better job teaching or making his tests easier. he throws in a bit of humor too, so that's always nice.
