Terrible teacher! He had given us "informal homework" but then wanted us to have it done. He also said if we did the homework we would pass the class with an A! I did every section of homework and the review problems and I still have to retake the class. If you want to pass the first time, don't take it with him!

WORST PROFESSOR IN THE WORLD!!! DO NOT TAKE HIM!! When I saw these comments I thought if i do everything the right way Ill get at least a B, I was wrong! Spent over 90 hours in math lab and did homework! STILL FAILED.If you want to cry and hate yourself, take the class.

He is the worst of the worst. I have no positive comments, but negative one. Don't take the class with him, not unless if you like retaking classes. He is also very rude and won't listen to what you have to say.Basically,he doesn't give you the chance to voice your opinions on any Qs. His grading system is either black or white...

He is the worst. I won't recommend him to anybody else ever. Not unless if you like this course so much and want to take it again. He knows very little what his doing. Often tells you to figure things out on your own. And he is rudeiest prof ever! Have never met anybody like him this rude as a teacher or prof!!

He is by far the worst professor throughout my freashman year!! Run away from him if you can.. He does nothing throughout the whole course, but tries to fail you! He made everyone looks dumb and made you look like you have done nothing for the course, but trying to fail yourself .

He's the kind of professor you tell your friends to stay away from. If you have to take him be warned, the lectures are nearly useless and will not help you. You will have to take matters into your own hands and try to learn the expected material, which is not very clear, yourself.

I took this class thinking that these comments were just from ppl who weren't willing to try. I was wrong. Every single negative comment on here is right about him. He's a horrible teacher, a hard grader, and WILL fail you. Be ready to work your butt off for a mediocre grade + don't be surprised if he randomly won't let you use a calc on tests.

He knows what he's talking about, but isn't good at instilling the knowledge into his students. He tends to go into to much detail too soon and confuse his students. Often times he will mess up a problem that takes him 20 minutes of class time just to complete.

A teacher who constantly makes errors on problems. For example, he missed a problem on the board and said he would correct his mistake for the next class and share his results. Well, he got the problem wrong the next class. I prefer not to blame teachers to much, but hours of studying and doing homework still makes this class very difficult. Avoid

Ten redbull won't keep you awake in his class, i know a moron when i see one. After one class, i dropped him to attend a class at another campus in another day that i did not have class. I'm from oversea and my math level is passed 152 but the way this guy is teaching and the mistakes he made one 1-1/2 hr convinced me to evacuate the "lieu"

He works very fast, and it's hard to keep along as he doesn't really go over why something works. It was hard to understand several concepts and I had to use the math lab. The Exams are very TOUGH and even with several hours of studying I would get low grades. Re-took the class and got a B. Hard Teacher for a Hard Class. Suggest you stay away

RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN!!!!!!!! I am a math major and have had straight A's until Marcum. He moves extremely fast through problems and asking him to clarify is not helpful-he states it the same way, but even faster. Unreasonable grading-took many many points off on correct problems for small insignificant technicalities. Just trust me RUN!

Difficult to learn off of @ times. Smart teacher, but makes mistakes alot while teaching new material. Grading System is very difficult. I'd avoid if possible, be ready to work your butt off for a mediocre grade.

While he isn't the greatest teacher in the world while teaching DURING class, he is so extremely helpful during his office hours. Although he may screw up some problems on the board and such, he still is a good teacher in my opinion. No math class is ever easy so obviously you are going to have to work at this class. He is also so nice! :)
