Evans talks incredibly slowly, gets distracted frequently, and is generally terrible at teaching information. The first 30 minutes of class is often nothing but irrelevant ramblings. It is not uncommon for her to talk about a single graph for over an hour, or fight with microphone feedback. This is easily the worst class I've ever taken.

Easy-going, fair grader. Looks for reasons to give you a few extra points. If you need help or have questions, she can be found in the lab, or in her office. Runs her lectures like a think tank. Tests are multiple choice, with a take-home section. Fascinating labs (HeLa)! You are not a student. You are a colleague. Attend lecture, its a home run.

This Professor is a excellent person to talk and communicate with, however the class is a hot mess. The class was very disorganized and she would plan lab and lectures on a class by class basis. This means that you can expect emails at 1-4 am in the morning detailing what will be the topic discussed in lab or lecture. First Impressions matter so.

I learned a lot in this class and recommend it to anyone. Her lectures are long and sometimes drag on forever but really her past exams are similar to the on you'll take so study those and you'll be good. Lab is pretty easy as long as you're careful and don't get things contaminated. Worth every penny!

Synthetic Biology. Her class is veeery easygoing and mostly discussion-based, but you don't have to talk if you don't want to. You do learn stuff too, its just very relaxed and slow delivery rate. Synthetic bio is a pretty cool topic. Lots of student presentations, but you can just slap something together in 45 mins and you're good.

Very unorganized and repeats the same information every lecture. Lab is chaotic and nothing ever works. Exams are difficult because you have no idea what is going to be on them. Probably the worst professor I've had in my 4 years.

Dr. Evans is an amazing Researcher. Slightly disorganized and sometimes needs a push to get moving. Always helpful and always willing to listen. Loves her research and learning. She loves to share her knowledge. Honestly, she is the best professor I have had the privilege to meet in this school.

Not very helpful during labs, had to mostly depend on the TA, not helpful when it came to reviewing material, only good thing is the subject matter wasn't too hard to begin with, otherwise the course would have been unbearable.

Super nice, super helpful, rather disorganized. Lets you take a one page "cheat sheet" into tests and work in pairs on quizzes. Easy A if you try at all.

Best class I have taken so far, material wise. The lectures are kind of a joke but the labs are amazing. You really learn important lab techniques that you will use in the "real world" Easy grader!
