Comment:

Professor Berelowitz is one of the smartest professors I've had. She is interesting and insightful and I genuinely enjoy her lectures. This was my third time having her as a professor and I would definitely take her class again.

This class was based on three test scores, three midterms and one final. Professor Berelowtiz spends the entire class period of every class lecturing but she does a wonderful job of it. She is extremely knowledgeable and provides students with a plethora of information. Her tests are very straight forward if you study notes from her lectures.

Comment:

Professor Berelowitz clearly knows her stuff but I agree with others that she lectures in a way that can make it difficult for her students. She tries to help, but sometimes it's still tough. Attendance is mandatory to do well on tests and the book is also. We had 4 exams and the lowest score was dropped. Really interesting class overall.

Berelowitz is very well versed in the subject but seems to forget her students are not. Her PPT lectures are lengthy & have lots of words. 8am snoozer class. Interesting material LOTS of reading! Do study guides! 4 exams lowest score dropped. Be prepared to memorize paragraph long quotes for exams. Don't take unless required/love subject & reading

professor berelowitz is a great teacher, highly intelligent and always willing to clarify. grades incredibly fairly, this class is by no means easy, doesnt take attendance but going to lecture is mandatory in order to understand material

Horrible professor. Yes she has mounds of knowledge in that head or hers but she is much more suited to stick to just researching. She lectures way too quickly and she makes art extremely boring. Those are my two biggest gripes. She grades somewhat harshly. Overall stay away from this professor if you can.

This class was one of the best art history classes i've ever had. It is a lot of work, reading, and studying, but if you have a strong interest in contemporary art and a good work ethic you'll do fine. I highly recommend this class

She is hard why lie, but it is the hard professors from wich you learn a lot. She speaks fast so be prepared to take quick notes and abreviate. Look at the study guide while in class to see if she answeres any of the questions on it. Also get a study group and split the study guide because it's very long. Just make sure you know the name of the art

Yes, she talks fast. If you're taking notes with a pencil, your hand will cramp. If you're taking notes on a laptop, your wrists will burn. But make no mistake, she's worth it. In terms of intricacy, prescision, and out-and-out radiance, Dr. Berelowitz has a mind like a Fabrege egg. If you give her a chance, she'll change your life.

tests were not that bad if you know how to study (follow her lectures, take detailed notes, read all assignments, study guides, learn all artist names for slides), she graded essays and term paper quite easily, her accent is hard to understand sometimes, she speaks fast and soft, recommend this class!

She is very knowledgable, but she talks so fast, it is hard to keep up with her, she is very dry. The tests aren't too hard, as long as you study your extremely long study guide. Answering the questions on the study guide during class while she disusses the subject will help. The papers are easy enough, she lists exactly what she wants. Boring.

I am an art history major, but somehow she was able to make this class boring for me. She knows a lot and the tests and paper are easy. She drops lowest out of 4 tests that are not cumulative so if you do well on the first 3, you don't have to take the cumulative final.
