Uses his online class as a soapbox for his crackpot ideas. We were taught his opinions, not factual data. Quizzes are a joke, asking us questions about his grading policy and testing us on material that has never been covered. If you post an opinion on the message board that he doesn't agree with, he will grade you less. BEWARE

I'm in his online class right now and let me tell you, I wish I would have read these reviews before I registered. You won't learn a damn thing from this teacher, except how to feel bad about yourself and doubt your own intelligence. He WON'T answer your questions and makes a mockery of learning. Very unhelpful, and downright rude. If your thinking about taking this class for GE requirement I HIGHLY SUGGEST you consider another class. Lesson plans are somewhat unorganized, if there is any part of the lesson you did not understand asking the professor will do you no good HE WILL NOT HELP.

I took Holleran's online class. This class is not overly difficult, but it is VERY poorly taught. His lessons are unorganized and jumbled, as though he just copied and pasted bits of information from several sources. Unhelpful, unclear, uninvolved, rude. I got an A in the course, but would not take another class from this man.

I'm not even sure he teaches at Grossmont anymore, but if he does, avoid at all costs. Just an unhelpful, genuinely mean human being. Only take his class if you're looking for a good laugh, because you'll see him expel people from class permanently for the funniest, most asinine reasons.
