Everyone at Marymount should take this class. He is a great professor and you learn so much about NY. Readings are interesting. Always willing to answer questions one on one about an assignment. I wish I could take his class again.

Hutzler was a great professor! I took his writing in NY class and I absolutely loved it. It was a perfect mix of literature that covers many different styles. I usually do not enjoy reading but he picked interesting texts. I would recommend this class to EVERYONE at MMC. Make sure you are there for class! We watch a lot of movies too! :) GREAT PROF

Pretty chill instructor. The look on his face when he takes attendence is priceless; he seems so sarcastic for some reason. GO TO CLASS. There is quite a bit of reading but you can manage without all of it. Papers are graded fairly easily.

His poetry class is okay, he's pretty funny and laughs at your jokes if they're funny. The papers aren't too hard but in class if he thinks you interpreted a poem "wrong" he won't accept it as a possibility, he will most likely just say"no, you're wrong" which seemed a little harsh for a poetry class.

He is very into poetry and it is sometimes hard to understand him. He is really nice though if you talk to him. He is understanding, even when you don't understand a poem or interpret it differently, he still is nice about it.

This course is Intro. to Poetry. I have never been a fan of poetry, but this course actually made it interesting at times. Overall, the professor is fabulous and completely willing to help and even to joke around (gasp!) with his students. He was great.
