He means well but this class in general just sucks. He does the best he can considering linguistics is NOT INTERESTING AT ALL. He tries to make it as easy/fun as possible but there is no way to make this class easy or fun. You HAVE to study but he will work with if you are confused. He wants his class to understand and interact during lectures.

Overall this class was pretty good. It was challenging and interesting at times, but at other times the teaching was dry. I would recommend sitting near the front of the room if you're going to take this teacher. He's a VERY nice guy, though.

I had Dr. Blodgett for two undergrad. classes--tough linguistics classes with high expectations, as one SHOULD expect in college! I thoroughly appreciated his classes, even though I struggled in them. Very good prof.
