Professor Bulman is okay. I enjoyed his humor and personality. His homework assignments are a little ridiculous if you ask me. He likes to pick at papers, but the picking can be helpful. If your willing to take a lower grade, but learn than take Bulman. Don't expect an A, but expect to be pushed to your writing abilities. And make sure to read...

Taking Bulman's Shakespeare class was amazing. He is brilliant, fun, and engaging. Quizzes are far easier than exams. Be ready to go through several stages of denial whilst writing papers for him. I could not recommend any of his classes enough. You will not regret it. He is absolutely wonderful. And hey, he brings in a broadsword. Have fun!

Professor Bulman is passionate about what he teaches and is not only excited about the material, but also provides very clear details and notes. Fair grader if a bit on the hard side, but I have felt that my writing has improved as well as my literary analysis skills.

Bulman is a great professor. For his FS, you will improve your writing no matter how good you are at the beginning of the course. He is hilarious and if you have a dirty mind, sometimes you will notice some of his subtle jokes and begin snickering in class. Bulman is a tough grader, but he is very fair. I'm sad that he will be retiring soon.

I love Shakespeare and I always have. Professor Bulman increased my passion for Shakespeare threefold. The progression of the plays that are read make absolute sense and increases the information retained from his teaching. This is a class that I am taking credit/no credit and I have the most motivation to actively engage with the content.

Amazing classes, amazing professsor. He truly loves what he teaches and it shows. The grading is fair, though difficult, and you can tell he wants students to succeed. He's available for help but the material is so well covered in class it's not really necessary.

Pretty good professor and not too difficult if you actually read all the required material and study for your exams. He grades papers pretty kindly, similar to D'Amico, a bit easier than Paul, and certainly easier than Caballero.

Excellent! I never liked English & I only took his class to fulfill pre-health requirements. He made literature interesting and gave good tips to help me improve my writing. I actually enjoyed this English class, which was something I never thought would happen.

I don't really understand why everyone likes him so much. For a beginning English class he was very, very hard. His class was extremely boring and his comments did not help me become any more interested in English. Don't waste your time with this class unless you are an English major.

Amazing teacher. He knows his stuff as well as any teacher of any subject I've had. The work you do is tough at times, but he is so good that you'll barely notice. His enthusiasm is almost unrivaled. he will be shouting, cursing, and singing throughout the whole semester. Take him if you can.

I dont get what all the hype is about. I dont get how people thought his feedback was thorough or helpful. I even went to see him and nothing changed. Since, I have taken other profs that are noted for their difficulty and have done very well. His class was tedious, boring, useless, and traumatizing. Did not help me become a better writer at all.

201 was a big class, but I also had him in a small one and learned quickly that he knows if you didn't do the reading and doesn't hesitate to call you on it. Very funny and engaging. This man is a wealth of knowledge and loves discussion based classes. He's a tough grader, but he's very fair and you'll be a better writer at the end of the semester.

Great professor. Work hard, expect to participate in class discussion and show up for class. I learned so much and had a ton of fun doing it. He is great at helping you write better. Even if you are an Ok writer already, his feedback will make you a great one. I completely and wholeheartedly recommend him as a professor!

Definitely not a teacher to take if you want an easy A - but take him if you're interested in Shakespeare, particularly. He can be a little pervy at times, with threats to spank continuously late or absent students, but is overall very funny and has really interesting classes. You will write a lot for him - but the feedback is always thorough!

He cares way more about attendance than actual performance, if you miss more than 3 classes be warned your grade will be penalized! I think that is bull****
