Great teacher that actually TEACHES you the material. In order to succeed in the class, you have to keep up with assignments and readings. He will randomly call on people for the answers of assignments and it counts towards your participation. Expect frequent quizzes and difficult exams. Stay organized!

Dr. Kurre is a great guy and a great prof. He challenges you not only on Econ material, but in everyday life situations as well. Even if you don't get a good grade...you will learn something useful. He also cracks corny jokes to keep class interesting...it works! :) Put in the work and you will be happy you took his class.

Dr. Kurre is one of the hardest professors and one of the best. You will not find a better teacher then him in the School of Business. WARNING: do not take this class if you don't have the time or effort to put into it. It will push you to your limits, but it is more than worth the work. Good for a resume builder. His ECON 302 is also worth taking.

Dr. Kurre is a MUST if you are studying economics at Behrend. He pushes us as far as most of us are willing to go. But you learn the material that is the base of you major more than anyone can teach you. ONLY TAKE HIM IF YOU'RE SERIOUS ABOUT LEARNING/PUTTING IN TIME. And trust me...it's worth it. I transferred to main and wish i still had him

Dr. Kurre is one the smartest teachers at Behrend by far. You can tell he applies Econ to his life regularly and he gets you to think in the same way. Just go to class, pay attention, and study and it's not hard to pull of an A if you have some common sense.

One of the most intelligent people I've ever met, Kurre is a disciple of Econ and it's obvious that he knows his stuff. He has teaching down to a science. He's no nonsense and you've got to keep up with studying or else you'll struggle. Lots of homework and reading but at the end of the class you come out with so much, very worthwhile to take.

Very busy man, was hard to catch his office hours but was worth it, make an appointment. Gives a lot of busy work. But it helps you learn the material better.

If you take him for Honors option, be ready to work and feel talked down to. That being said, he's an excellent teacher. If you can get past his love of himself, you'll learn a lot; he's very clear, precise, and makes sure everyone understands the material. I wish he wouldn't have cut off his long hair though...

Dr. Kurre was my favorite teacher! He is extremely friendly and is so willing to go out of his way to help EVERYONE. The class was not extremely difficult, but you HAVE to do the work and read the book because it helps you so much. I enjoyed him as a teacher so much that I make it a point to take his other classes when I have the opportunity.
