There is lot of unnecessary hype about this course and fawcett, but to be honest I feel both the course and the lecturer are pretty mediocre. He lectures sound a bit over-complicated too. He doesn't explain stuff in a simple way. Reading the text book is way better.

The best professor I have ever met in my life. Experienced, knows what he's doing. Hard, but let's face it, people do perform better under pressure and this why I like him. If you have a problem with him, trust me, it isn't his mistake so work yourself out. He provides all help he could even if it was out of class scope. Professor Fawcett FTW!

The professor Fawccet is very great. He is patient and give a lot of guidance for very homework. There is only one exam, which you can take a paper note. Also the exam contains only 7 questions. In a word, it is a class that you are worth it.

Be ready to work your ass off, and learn a ton in the process. Did I mention work your ass off? Guy is a genius, lectures can be a little disoriented at times and he repeats himself a few times, but overall great class to be a part of. Best class I've had in this area.

I'm a big fan of Dr. Fawcett and took CSE 681, 686 and 687 from him. He's always filled with passion, kindness and patience. Old on age, but not on trending technologies, you'd never learn outdated knowledge from him. Students are always welcomed to his office. Please be sure to take his courses in SU.
