Comment:
Dr. Miller can speak well enough, however what seemed to be a passionate teaching style quickly devolved into extended rants on our mediocrity. The classes only instructional material were the poorly written powerpoint slides, which were regurgitated verbatim for the exams. The assignments and labs were solving random, unrelated problems with Java.

He knows his stuff inside and out, and for me, however he wasn't approachable very much, and expected students to know their stuff and not ask very many questions. The midterm and exam were both very peculiar; he gives no info on the content or format of either. Lectures were informative, but also a slow death via PowerPoint.

He knows his stuff and is good for learning OO programming. Not approachable though.

Pretty interesting to listen to, however midterm was extremely stupid. Definitely did not accurately portray how much you knew about the course material, and somewhat assumed the student would know the level of detail he wanted. Overall he is OK.

This fellow had an unbearable scottish accent that made me want to die whenever he started talking, making paying attention very difficult to do. Fortunately the class is dreadfully easy, 90% of the course is high-school level maths. He wasted lots of lecture time doing useless 'Reality Checks' as he calls them. Exams were straightforward and easy.

Very knowledgable. Does sort of gloss over concepts, but luckily you can figure things out on your own well enough.

I understand why people dislike this man, but I have a soft spot for his style which isn't one of a hand-holder. He requires you to work hard on your own time to learn the material.

Worst professor I have ever had thus far. And I have had a few doozies. This guy is extremely disrespectful to students and doesn't care about them. He seems far too caught up in explaining why something is important a thousand times and forgets to explain what it is that he is talking about. Transfer out if you still can!

Among the worst EE profs I've had. Notes are copied and pasted from the internet or textbook website, then filled with typos and some stupid filler. Tests were ridiculous -- he didn't put any effort into making them and didn't care much for how well the students did or understood anything. Kids in the front row were idiots, too.

Comment:
The notes he prepared for this course were incredibly unclear. There were numerous semantic errors and typos in the formulas that he didn't correct in class. He came across as apathetic most of the time, rushing through complicated material just to get it out of the way.
