Wonderful teacher. Great loss to the CS department when he retired. Taught in a very different fashion that was a breath of fresh air. Great at explaining the ideas and structure. If you need the details, you must consult the book. Great at programming he knows (assembler). Very nice guy with hundreds of great stories.

Very cool guy. He has some very entertaining stories. His tests are very easy and he sometimes randomly cancels class. He is not the typical professor. Most of the learning you do will come out of the book. Cake class.

he was good for Intro to Computers.. after that... I think he needs to retire. he doesn't teach anything useful, and his exams are so easy.. u need to get hold of old exams. but really, don't expect to learn anything in his class...

His class is an experience that you should not miss. He obviously loves computers, and his stories are great. He explains technical concepts well, and he's friendly and approachable. I've never met anyone that did not think his class was awesome.
